Welcome,
I'm Teresa,
And this is a gentle space for when starting feels impossible.
For when your mind is busy,
But your body just won't move.
For when the task is small,
But the resistance feels enormous.
For when you're tired of telling yourself you should be able to do this.
If you live with ADHD,
Executive dysfunction,
Burnout,
Or a sensitive nervous system,
You are especially welcome here.
There is nothing wrong with you.
Let's begin gently.
You don't need to sit up straight.
You don't need to try harder.
You don't need to fix this moment.
Just notice where you are.
Feel the surface beneath you.
Let your shoulders drop half an inch.
Let your jaw soften even slightly.
Starting can feel impossible for many reasons.
Sometimes it's overwhelm.
Sometimes it's sensory fatigue.
Sometimes it's fear of doing it wrong.
Sometimes it's the invisible exhaustion of masking for too long.
And sometimes it's just a nervous system that needs safety before it can move.
So instead of asking,
How do I make myself do this?
Let's gently ask,
What would make this moment feel 1% safer?
Not perfect.
Not productive.
Just slightly safer.
Maybe it's placing a hand on your chest.
Maybe it's exhaling longer than you inhale.
Maybe it's whispering,
I am allowed to go slowly.
Take a slow breath in.
And then a long,
Gentle exhale.
You are not lazy.
You are not broken.
You are not behind.
Executive dysfunction is not a character flaw.
It's often a sign of overwhelm,
Stress,
Or a nervous system that doesn't feel supported.
And support can begin very small.
Instead of the whole task,
What is the smallest visible step?
Not finishing.
Not succeeding.
Just beginning.
Maybe it's opening the document,
Standing up,
Or putting your feet on the floor,
Moving one object.
Your body moves more easily when it feels safe.
So before you move,
Let's anchor safety.
Press your feet gently into the floor.
Feel your spine supported.
And notice one neutral sound in the room you're in.
You are here.
You are breathing.
You are not in danger.
Sometimes starting feels impossible because your system has been in survival for too long.
And survival is exhausting.
If that's you,
Let this be enough for now.
One breath.
One shift.
One tiny act of self-trust.
When you're ready,
And only when you're ready,
Let your body make one small movement.
Not to prove anything.
Just to practice beginning.
Even imagining the first step counts.
Even choosing rest counts.
You are allowed to work with your nervous system.
Not against it.
Take one more slow breath.
And notice that you stayed.
You didn't shame yourself.
You didn't push.
That is progress.
If this meditation supported you,
You may also find comfort in my other gentle tracks for sensitive and neurodivergent nervous systems.
You don't have to do everything at once.
You just have to begin softly.
I'm so glad you're here.
And as you return to your day,
Remember as always,
You are loved.
You are whole.
You are enough.
You are worth it.
