Get comfy for the next couple of moments together.
Breathing easily,
Breathing lightly.
Let's take an adventure to a cat sanctuary on the beautiful island of Lanai,
Hawaii.
I want you to picture this island that feels like it's on a giant hill.
Being able to see the ocean easily,
The trees,
The other islands,
The fresh,
Clean,
Bright environment.
I'm thinking about this beautiful cat sanctuary that came about because of a deep need.
I'm thinking about all of the selfless individuals who keep this center running.
And I want you to picture yourself walking from the parking lot into this area,
This beautiful outdoor area with separate spots for seniors and special needs cats.
It's a spot for juvenile and just regular adult cats.
And inside each of these enclosures are beautiful climbing apparatus,
Feeding dishes,
There's chairs,
There's brushes,
There's treats,
There's water.
It's this perfect little oasis of healing for these many cats.
And I want you to see yourself entering into the enclosure for the senior and special needs cats.
And as you walk into this enclosure,
A whole bunch of cats come running.
Some are slower.
And you notice maybe some cats that look a little worse for wear.
And you decide to just sit down and see what happens.
And as soon as you sit down,
You have about four different cats that jump onto your lap or onto the arm of the chair,
Just looking for love.
And so I want you to see yourself just petting these cats,
Feeling them rubbing up against you and thinking about the amount of love that you can give them.
Just through your intention and your touch.
And looking around,
Just observing all of the other cats and this luxurious enclosure as you continue to give them some love.
Seeing the trees,
The toys scattered all around,
The grass and noticing how clean it is,
How well kept it is.
And you grab a brush and see which cat comes to you.
And this beautiful orange cat comes over and nudges against your hand,
Signaling that it would like a brush.
And so you ever so gently start to brush this orange cat.
Feeling the connection and the love between you.
Feeling the peace.
Feeling the magic of this moment.
And the cat jumps away,
Feeling happily satisfied.
And you decide to go for a little walk around this enclosure and just look around.
And as you move through,
You have a little following behind you,
Your cat friends that you've made.
And as you walk around,
You hear the gentle meows.
You decide to say goodbye to this enclosure and all of its little cat friends in there.
Going through the double gates.
And heading over to one of the other enclosures.
You can choose if you want to go in with the younger cats or the adults.
And as you approach the enclosure,
The cats start meowing.
They see you.
You enter the first gate,
Making sure to close it behind you before opening the next one.
And quickly entering the next one so that none of the cats escape.
And these cats are a little more active.
And some of them are even trying to climb up your legs.
So you decide to sit down and let them climb up into your lap as well.
And this time you have eight,
Nine,
Maybe ten cats just crawling across your lap and up your shoulders and all around just loving on you.
You keep giving them love.
Give them some treats and watch them play.
You pick up one of those little sticks with a little bird looking thing at the end and jump around with the cats with that.
Just feeling so much joy.
Feeling so happy that you can spend this time with these animals that need a home.
And as you continue to play and brush and just snuggle these cats,
One cat in particular is really drawn to you.
And you are drawn to that cat.
And so this cat just curls right up in your lap.
And this feels like a perfect pet.
And so you start thinking about adopting this cat.
Feeling a bit confused as you were just visiting and didn't think you were looking for a companion.
And you feel in your heart that this cat has to come home with you.
So you look into the cat's eyes and this cat is just attached to your soul.
And so you ask one of the volunteers who works there if you could adopt this particular cat.
And when you learn the story about this cat,
It makes your heart melt even more.
The volunteer confirms that yes,
You absolutely can adopt this cat.
And so with tears in your eyes,
You ask where it is that you can fill out the forms,
Pay the fees,
Do whatever it is that you need to do.
And as you sit there with your new companion,
Your little friend,
You feel peace like you have never felt before.
Knowing that you are helping to give this beautiful being a home.
And this beautiful being is bringing peace to your heart.
And knowing that everything that just happened was meant to.
And feeling such deep gratitude for this beautiful cat sanctuary on the island of Lanai in Hawaii.
And as you continue sitting with this new friend of yours,
You start to fall asleep,
Feeling so content,
So warm,
So loved.
Breathing easily,
Feeling into your physical body once again.
Coming back to where you started this visualization.
Maybe with a little bit of curiosity.
Finding out if there is a cat for you,
Whether it's at that sanctuary or another one.
And so feeling back into your physical body,
Back into reality,
You start to move your head around,
Not forgetting the little cat friend that you made.
You wiggle your fingers and toes.
And when you're ready,
You open up your eyes.
