Settle in,
Relax,
And take a couple of gentle breaths,
Landing in this moment,
Feeling your body let go,
Feeling your breathing getting longer,
Maybe lighter,
Noticing the slight movements with each breath.
Now we're going to think about a situation or a person in your life that you would like to sever ties with.
Maybe you would like to refer to it as cutting cords,
Distancing yourself,
Setting a very definite and healthy boundary.
Take a moment to picture that person with as much detail as possible in your mind's eye,
In your mind's eye,
Remembering not to send any negative emotions or energy their way,
Just to picture them,
And not needing to relive any reasons why you would like to sever communication,
Ties,
Energy with them,
Just focusing on the act of releasing your connection to them.
Now I want you to picture,
And if you would like you can put your hand just below your belly button,
And I want you to picture this braided cord,
This energetic cord that is reaching out from this area all the way to the person who you just pictured,
Connecting at that same spot to them.
And I want you to see that cord and recognize it as your connection,
Your relationship to them,
Your energy that is intertwined,
And thinking about severing that connection.
And I want you to choose a tool,
It could be a machete,
It could be a big pair of scissors,
It could be a saw,
Anything that you choose that is going to break that tie.
I want you to pick up your tool,
And I want you to start cutting that cord,
Releasing that person from your life,
Sending them love,
Sending them only well wishes,
But making a clear statement that you are letting them go.
Keep cutting,
Slicing,
Whatever way it is that you are severing until you completely break free.
And with this breaking free,
You see them floating away,
Off into the distance,
Away peacefully,
Lovingly,
Thanking them for the lessons,
Sending them with peace,
Until you can't see them anymore.
Feeling that freedom,
Feeling that clarity,
And feeling that love for yourself.
The cord shrivels up,
Drops and falls away and disintegrates.
Take a couple of breaths,
In and out,
Feel your body,
Feel your soul,
And with your hand on that spot,
Send a beautiful burst of white and golden light under your hand.
Feel the warmth,
The healing,
The love,
The respect for yourself.
And continue to do this practice two to three times a day,
Until you know you don't need to anymore.
It may take three days to feel completely free.
It may take a week,
And it's okay.
Just know that you are doing the right thing,
In a loving manner,
In the name of self-respect,
In the name of worthiness,
And being enough,
Knowing your worth,
And knowing what is and is not for you.
Take a nice deep breath in,
And out,
And let that be.
In person,
Go,
Once and for all.
Thank you for meditating with me.
Namaste.
Peace and worthiness to you and yours.
