Let's begin by settling into our own little safe sanctuary where we won't be disturbed for the next few moments.
Allow your breath to find its natural comfortable rhythm.
Allow your arms to gently fall to your sides or sit comfortably in your lap.
Gently drop your shoulders and ease the clench in your jaw.
Let's take three gentle deep breaths.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Allow the air to fill your tummy area,
Gently inflating and deflating.
I want you to imagine that you're lying down in the most luscious green grass field.
You can either be lying on a blanket or fully immersed into the thick soft grass.
You're looking up at the sky,
Watching the fluffy white clouds pass by.
Imagine that the clouds are your thoughts in your head,
Acknowledge them and then let them pass by.
You don't need to focus greatly on them,
Obsess over them,
Overthink,
Just see them for what they are and let them go.
You watch each cloud softly breeze past your gaze almost in a hypnotic manner.
It feels nice,
You feel a sense of calm as if you've been unburdened from having to constantly think.
Your inhale and exhale begin to become more relaxed and you feel a sense of calm flood your whole mind and body.
When you feel that your attention has been taken away with thoughts outside of your meditation,
Which it will,
Gently,
Non-judgmentally guide it back to the calm hypnotic rhythm of your inhale and your exhale.
Watch the clouds above you gliding past you,
You don't feel the urge to stop or catch them,
All you do is acknowledge them and let them go.
It feels good just to let them go.
Feel that when the momentum of your mind has been drawn away from your breath,
Gently,
Non-judgmentally guide it back.
And as we begin to finish our meditation for today,
Let's take three gorgeous deep breaths to fully absorb this feeling of calm.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Begin to listen to the sounds outside the room,
Twinkle your toes,
Wriggle your fingers,
Feel your body ready to re-enter your day feeling calm,
Balanced and re-energized.
Be well.
