So,
Let's get into this meditation.
Before we dive deep today,
I've been on my own personal inner journey because of my mother passing.
It's bringing up all sorts of things that need to be healed with the grief.
So I've been riding a rollercoaster of grief.
I imagine many people are.
I know many people that have lost pets,
Family members,
Friends during this time.
Not necessarily because of COVID,
But it just becomes more intensified.
We're also grieving the way our life was.
We're grieving the fact that we don't know what's going to happen next.
That's for human beings,
That's really uncomfortable.
We are also grieving,
I want to say,
The state of our union,
The state of our country,
The state of the world,
What's going on in other countries.
And because of all this grief and that I've been processing for myself personally and then for the global community,
I realized I had to flip it.
I had to flip it from anxiety and fear and grief to hope.
So I went to my mentor and spirit guide,
Ernest Holmes,
In his book,
This Thing Called You.
If you haven't read it,
I highly recommend it.
He wrote it toward the end of World War II.
So the things that are in this book,
He was speaking to that were really horrific then.
And we think it's bad now.
It was bad then.
So I just randomly opened it up.
You can see I've got all sorts of post-its.
I read this book over and over,
Probably 10 times.
I opened it up.
And Ernest Holmes says,
You cannot change a pattern of fear by maintaining an attitude of fear or by fluctuating between fear and faith,
Which is what I have been doing.
Okay,
I'm not going to focus on fear.
I'm going to focus on trust and faith and love and light.
He says,
Make a picture of yourself as happy and successful and refuse to entertain contrary thoughts.
So when I was on one of the tables,
I realized that I had been focusing on my anxiety,
My fear,
My sorrow,
And I needed to focus on something else.
And what came to me was hope.
So that's what we're going to do today.
We're going to focus on hope,
Whatever that looks like for you.
Okay?
So I invite you now to take a very deep breath,
A belly breath,
And release it.
And then take another deep breath,
Allowing your body to relax as much as possible.
And one more breath into your heart,
Allowing the heart to open,
Allowing the love that you are to radiate in your body,
In your mental,
Emotional,
And physical body.
And as we focus on that love that we are,
Allowing it to move out,
Filling every cell,
Every molecule,
Every vibration of who we are.
Feel that love moving up and down the energy systems in your body and surrounding you.
And now I want you to put your attention on whatever anxiety,
Fear,
Grief you may have.
And I want you to create,
Put it into a basket.
Okay?
The fear,
The anxiety,
The tension,
The grief.
And as you put it into this basket,
The basket with a handle,
All of that fear and anxiety and everything is inside your system of love that we've just invoked and recognized.
And so I want you to just put a heaping,
A heaping spoonful of love in there.
And notice that there is a rope coming down with a hook.
And just hook the basket and allow that fear,
Anxiety,
Grief,
Whatever that you put in the basket to just move up and out of your body.
Good.
Breathing.
Good.
And then I want you to now see that there is a shaft of light above you.
And feel that shaft of light encasing you as it comes down,
Surrounding you.
And then I want you to begin to see whatever color you associate hope with.
I associate it with a very vibrant sky blue.
And see that hope coming down,
That color coming down,
Filling that channel that you created that surrounds you.
And just see that color moving into your mental,
Emotional,
And physical body,
Filling every cell and molecule just like we did with the love,
All the way down to the bottom of your feet.
So you are full of love and hope.
You are encased in light and hope.
And just breathe that for a minute.
Notice how you feel.
Notice if there's any reaction.
Breathing that hope,
Whatever the color is,
Breathing in light and being love.
Taking a deep breath again.
Becoming grounded in this truth of who you are,
Love,
Light,
And hope.
Becoming present into the room you're in,
The chair,
And taking a very deep breath,
Allowing all of that hope and light and love to just ground you this day.
And I invite you as you go through your day to day,
Notice if you see the color you've invoked for hope,
Just notice where it is in your life today.
And if you don't see it,
Perhaps you might want to buy something or create color something that has that color in it so you can see hope instead of fear.
And you can see hope instead of anxiety or grief.
Being hope,
Being light,
Being love.
That's our journey today.
And so it is,
Namaste.
