We are giving up the chase.
We spend our life chasing.
Chasing after something.
We don't know quite what it is we are chasing but.

.
Some of us half kill ourselves trying to get it.
Some idea.
Some place.
Some spiritual high.
We can enter into the spiritual life when we start chasing something spiritual.
Because there is a belief that this is not it,
This is not enough.
Me as I am is not good enough in some way.
Life as it is isn't quite what I want,
What I expect.
And that's ego talk.
We spend our time listening to the egoic conditioning.
If you spend your time listening to that,
That's what will happen.
To varying degrees in various ways.
Because the ego splits life up into good and bad.
Enough and not enough.
That's what it does.
That's it's programming.
So we are not trying to change the egoic conditioning.
This is the end of believing the whole game.
It's like a program is being played.
And we realize,
We start to see that.
We come back to presence,
To come back to the senses,
To the body.
And we start to see the game.
Again and again and again.
And then we just stop believing it.
And that's when we find what we've been looking for.
Because mind,
Egoic mind,
Is just a problem factory.
That's what it does.
There's a conveyor belt just creating problems.
One after the other.
Creates a problem then.
Let's find a way to end it.
It's just created it.
You can be sitting here at ease.
There's a problem just created.
And then we're away.
Or a fantasy.
95,
98% of our problems are made up.
I'm not saying there aren't challenges in life.
We've all had them.
And we'll have more as we get through the rest of our lives.
Some real.
But they're real.
We waste so much of our time on made up problems.
Imagined.
And I know some of you are starting to see it.
Just how it creates this.
You're walking down the street and you're not even there.
You're sitting having a cup of coffee and you're not really presently spinning.
You're just taking a deep breath.
And you let go into the body.
You lose your way.
It's okay.
The attention is just lost in thought.
Just take a breath.
Welcoming everything.
There's a sadness.
Whatever.
An anxious feeling.
Hello.
Resting the attention on the breath.
Lower down in the seat area.
The lower belly.
Just notice how you get lost in the content of thought.
And the attention returns.
And you rest in the body.
Just resting back in the body.
Taking the energy away from thinking.
Take your attention away.
Do that very neutrally.
No big deal.
Being no body.
Going nowhere.
Just rooted here in presence.
Just feeling all the bodily sensations.
Anything that's presented.
Just feel it.
Checking that you're not tense.
Just relax.
Just take a deep breath if you wish.
Relax into the sensation.
The mind will invite you onto a ride.
Either decline.
Or we jump off and we realize we're riding.
Nothing to achieve.
Just resting in presence.
Feeling what you find.
Be the ocean and not the waves.
Be presence and not the thoughts.
And we bring this session to an end.
