Begin by settling into a comfortable position.
You may be sitting or lying down,
Whatever allows your body to feel supported.
If it feels safe,
Gently close your eyes.
And if not,
Simply soften your gaze.
Take a slow breath in through your nose.
And a long steady breath out through your mouth.
Let the exhale be a signal to your nervous system that you don't need to rush anywhere right now.
Again,
Breathing in.
And slowly breathing out.
One more time,
Inhaling calm.
Exhaling pressure.
Now bring one hand to your chest and one hand to your belly.
Feel the warmth of your own touch.
Feel the steadiness of your breath beneath your hands.
Notice the places where your body is supported.
The chair.
The floor.
Or the bed beneath you.
Let yourself be held by this moment.
There is nothing you need to solve right now.
Gently begin to notice your surroundings.
In your mind,
Name three things you can see or hear.
Simple,
Ordinary details.
Now let's look for another thing that you can hear,
Whether it's near in your environment or far away.
And finally,
Bring awareness to one physical sensation in your body.
Perhaps the rise and fall of your breath.
The feeling of your feet.
Or the contact beneath you.
Let your system register.
I am here.
I am safe in this moment.
If your mind is busy,
That's okay.
You don't need to stop your thoughts.
Only soften your relationship with them.
Silently repeat,
Right now I am not deciding my future.
I am simply noticing.
Let that land.
Notice how your body responds when you give yourself permission to pause.
With your next exhale,
Imagine releasing any weight that doesn't belong to you.
Expectations.
Pressure.
Responsibility for things you cannot control.
And gently repeat,
I don't have to carry this alone.
I don't need answers right now.
Each breath out creates a little more space inside.
Bring your attention back to your heart.
You might silently say,
I am allowed to take this one step at a time.
Clarity comes with patience.
Let these words move through you slowly,
Like warm water easing tension.
As this meditation comes to an end,
Know that you can return to this grounded place anytime by placing a hand on your chest and taking one slow,
Intentional breath.
Say to yourself.
I am okay right now.
Everything is as it should be.
And remember,
There is no rush.
There is no deadline for understanding everything.
Sometimes accepting things as they are is exactly what you need right now.
You don't need to try to change things in this very moment.
If there's time for that later,
You will be able to do so.
But right now,
You are allowed to rest here.
Steady.
Present and enough.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes and carry this calm with you into the rest of your day.
