Welcome to this mindfulness recording for relaxation and connection while breastfeeding or pumping.
Please remember that it is important to stay awake during this recording.
If you are holding your baby,
Please remain alert,
Attentive,
And connected to your infant at all times.
I will cue you to connect to your baby physically during this recording.
If they are not physically with you at this moment,
I invite you to visualize the sensations that I will describe in your mind.
Visualizing your baby and imagining their presence close to you is proven to help supply during pumping.
If you have water nearby,
Please take a sip and begin to settle into your seat.
Feel your body relax into your space and begin to notice your breathing.
Start with a big deep breath in through the nose and a long exhale through the mouth.
Begin to feel relaxation entering into your mind and body as you prepare your space and your body for breastfeeding or pumping.
Start to melt and release any tension held in the neck and shoulders.
Feel your shoulders relax into place and slide down your back.
Breathing in and out.
The milk will come when your body is ready.
Be patient with your baby as they settle into their preferred position.
You are an amazing caregiver for your baby.
They love this time that you spend together.
Breathing in and out.
Feel your baby in your arms.
Notice their weight in your lap as you hold them.
Can you feel the warmth of your baby?
Notice their smell as you begin to connect deeply with them.
Your body is capable and knows what to do.
Please be gentle and patient with your body.
Feel your baby's skin.
Notice how soft and warm their skin is.
Your baby can feel the warmth of your body too and your soothing touch.
Take a deep breath in and exhale releasing any tension in the mind or body.
Relax all of the muscles in your chest and back as you start to connect to the energy of your baby.
You and your baby are so in tune with each other.
You can sense their energy and they can sense yours.
Take a deep breath in and release any tension on the exhale.
You are doing such a wonderful job caring for your baby and providing nourishing milk for them.
See their little face and feel the sensation of the latch as you allow your body to express the milk for them.
Connecting to your breath as you relax your body,
Breathing deeply in,
Releasing any tension on the exhale.
Relax into this precious moment thinking of the love you have for your sweet baby as you continue to allow the milk to flow from your body.
This milk is an extension of the love you have for your baby.
Continue to breathe in and out,
Trusting your body,
Appreciating your body and your baby and this time for both of you together.
Hear the precious sounds they make,
Their sweet and silly faces as you allow your body to provide this nourishing milk for them.
You are an amazing caregiver.
You are able to care for and comfort your baby when they are stressed and uncomfortable.
They love you so much.
Continue to breathe in and out,
Relaxing into this moment.
You and your baby are so connected in this moment.
They can feel the love pouring from your heart.
You and your baby are so bonded and connected.
Cherish this precious time you have together.
Keep breathing in and calmly out,
Relaxing into this moment,
Connecting to your body and to your baby,
Feeling fully present here.
Breathing in and breathing out,
Allowing your body to provide this nourishment for your baby.
Cherish the cues from your baby as they get more full and content.
Feel your baby relaxing in your arms,
Feeling nourished and loved by you.
You are an amazing caregiver and you will continue to connect with your baby and grow in your love for them.
This concludes this mindful breastfeeding or pumping recording.
Thank you so much for joining me.
I hope you and your baby have a wonderful day.
