Be still and let the day go.
As you get comfortable become conscious of your breathing,
The rise and fall of your chest and abdomen.
There's no need to force your breath,
Simply let it be.
You are ready for sleep,
Your eyes are heavy and your muscles are relaxing.
Psalm 121 tells us that the Lord watches over us day and night,
That he watches over our life.
You are safe,
Relax.
Imagine you're on a journey along a golden path.
Either side of the path is clothed in lush green grass,
Abundantly adorned with fragrant flowers in every conceivable vibrant colour.
Towering trees laden with fruit cast their shade here and there along the path.
Pause a while,
Smell the air,
Absorb the moment.
The sun shines brightly in the blue cloudless sky and there is a gentle breeze.
The temperature is ambiant,
Perfect.
You know you are safe from all harm,
The Lord is with you.
He has promised he will not leave you nor forsake you.
Keep walking with him,
See the purple mountains in the distance and wander through the meadow to a crystal clear stream.
You sit beside the stream and place your hand into the living water,
Leaning over you take a drink.
You feel refreshed,
Restored.
A myriad of colours catch your eye and you notice a city on a hill.
It shimmers and sparkles as the light from within reflects off millions of gems and precious metals.
You know within your heart and soul this is your home.
You know that in this city your joy will know no limits,
Peace and love will abound and there will be beauty beyond your imagination.
Here you will serve the living God.
There is no fear,
You are safe.
There are no insecurities,
You are whole.
There are no financial burdens,
You are free.
There is no failure,
You are perfect.
There is no disease,
Sickness or death.
There are no disasters or wars.
There is no hate,
Only love.
Within the city walls there is happiness,
There is love,
There is perfection,
There is praise and worship.
Gems are open,
Honest,
Loving and uncomplicated.
There is fellowship with God,
The angels and each other.
Everything within is made new,
The former things have passed away.
This golden path you journey on is just the beginning,
A glimpse of the hope of glory.
You are loved,
Supported and cared for through Jesus and he says to you now,
Let's walk on together.
Let's walk on together.
You are safe.
You are whole.
You are free.
You are perfect.
You are loved.
Let's walk on together.
Let's walk on together.
