Welcome,
If you're here you might be feeling that sharp ache of loneliness.
That feeling that no one sees you,
No one really gets you.
That kind of alone that sits in your bones.
Not just about being by yourself,
But about feeling disconnected.
Maybe you're physically alone right now,
Or maybe you're surrounded by people but still feel unseen.
Wherever you are,
Whatever this loneliness feels like for you today,
I want you to know your feelings are valid.
You don't have to justify them or talk yourself out of them.
For these next few minutes let's just be with this feeling together and meet it with kindness.
Settle into a comfortable position and gently close your eyes if that feels safe or lower your gaze.
Let's begin by noticing your body.
Feel where your body touches the surface beneath you,
The ground,
Your bed,
The chair.
Let it hold you,
Really sink into it.
You don't have to hold everything right now,
Let the ground hold you.
Take a slow breath in through your nose,
Hold it and exhale gently through your mouth.
Once more,
Inhale and exhale,
Allowing your breathing to settle into its own natural rhythm.
Let your shoulders drop,
Let your jaw unclench,
Let your hands rest,
Let your belly soften.
There's nothing you have to do,
No one you have to impress,
Just be here.
Now as you breathe,
Gently turn your attention toward the feeling of loneliness,
Wherever you feel it in this moment.
Notice where it lives in your body,
Is it a tightness in your chest,
A heaviness in your heart or perhaps a hollow feeling somewhere else?
Let's take a moment to sit with the sensation,
Allowing it to be as it is without judgment.
Resisting the urge to fix it,
To fill the emptiness or push it away.
Just observing,
Breathing and staying present with this feeling,
This tender vulnerability with absolute gentleness.
As you rest in this awareness,
You might notice thoughts or stories coming beneath the feeling.
Maybe stories like I'll always be alone or something's wrong with me.
Let these thoughts surface without clinging to them.
Loneliness is more than just being alone,
It's that hollow feeling that says no one would choose me or no one truly sees me or perhaps the fear that maybe deep down you're unlovable.
As you sit with it,
Ask gently what lies beneath this?
A longing to connect,
A fear of rejection,
A deep desire to be truly known and seen.
Let these insights unfold softly without forcing an answer.
We're not listening to these stories as facts,
We're not believing them but we are acknowledging the pain behind them and meeting it with love.
So breathe into that space now,
Into the loneliness,
Holding it with as much kindness and gentleness as you can.
And I want you to hear this even if it's hard to believe right now.
You're not weak for feeling lonely and you're not broken for needing connection.
We all need love and connection and the feeling of loneliness makes that clear for us.
So if your heart feels tender,
Know it's because you care.
Because you're alive.
Because you're capable of loving deeply even when that love feels unreturned.
And you are not actually alone in this moment,
I'm here with you.
Place a hand over your heart if that feels okay and just feel its steady rhythm.
Feel the warmth of your own touch.
Let that be proof that someone is here.
You are here.
Say silently to yourself,
I may feel alone but I am not invisible.
I am worthy of connection.
I am worthy of love.
Even if I feel forgotten,
I will not abandon me.
Even if no one checks in on me today,
I can still care for myself.
This feeling won't last forever.
Love exists even when I can't see it.
Let those words settle into you even if they don't feel true yet.
You are wonderful and you are enough.
Take another breath,
Inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly.
Outside,
Life is happening.
People going about their days.
Trees swaying in the wind.
Clouds moving across the sky.
And somewhere,
Someone else is feeling lonely too.
Somewhere,
Someone is hoping to meet someone just like you.
The truth is,
Your loneliness is real but it isn't the whole story.
There is space for you in this world.
You are part of something larger and your presence matters.
One last deep breath in.
And when you're ready,
Let yourself come back to the room.
Gently open your eyes.
And maybe name one thing you can see.
And one thing you can hear.
And one thing you can touch.
You are here.
You are real.
You belong.
And you're not as alone as your mind wants you to believe.
The world is full of hands waiting to hold yours.
Hearts that would recognize yours.
And until you find them,
Be kind to yourself.
You matter and you always have.
Please come back to this space any time you need to feel less alone.
Www.
Mooji.
