Welcome.
Today's meditation is focused on the idea of surrender and trust.
What would life be like if we could allow ourselves to release control and go with the flow,
Trusting that all is as it's meant to be.
Let's begin.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable way to be in the body,
Where the body feels wholly and completely supported by whatever is beneath it.
Can we allow ourselves to settle here?
To accept gravity's invitation to release the weight of the body to the earth?
I trust that I am safe where I am.
We can allow ourselves to settle into our breath,
That calm and steady breath that washes in and out of the body.
I trust the body breathes itself.
I'd invite you to bring to mind an area in your life where you trust,
An area in life where you know you are being led,
Where you're meant to go.
What could life be like if you could live in this space of trust and surrender to the flow that is guiding you forward?
Can you imagine yourself standing in a stream,
Feeling the flow of water gently tugging at you,
Flowing around feet firmly planted on the ground.
Perhaps we imagine the water is waist high,
Warm and welcoming,
Flowing downstream.
You might notice that holding firm against a current requires energy.
It requires holding and pushing.
We control the contact that we have with the earth we keep ourselves firmly planted,
Resisting flow.
What would happen if we lifted one toe off the ground?
I release control.
And if we lifted a second toe off the ground,
I release my need to know.
Each toes lifting one by one,
I release expectation.
I allow myself to be led.
I trust the flow will lead me where I need to go.
Toe by toe,
Then the whole foot,
Then the heels lifting off the ground,
Can we allow ourself to surrender to the flow of life,
Letting it lead us?
I flow with the current.
I trust my guide.
Blessings.
Namaste.
