Let's begin.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable way to be in the body.
Letting the body settle into itself.
Finding strength through the center of the body.
Then release through the muscles and the flesh.
Allowing yourself to bring your awareness in this moment to the breath.
Bringing the awareness to your nose and sensing the breath as it moves in and out at its natural depth and rate.
Then noticing the throat as you breathe in and out.
Noticing the collar bone with every inhale and exhale.
Noticing the rib cage as you breathe in and out.
Breathing in,
Expanding,
Breathing out,
Releasing.
Feeling the whole lung now.
Breathing in,
The lungs fill,
The chest expands.
Breathing out,
Release,
Letting go.
Then bringing the awareness to your belly,
Breathing in,
Feeling the belly rise.
And breathing out,
Feeling the belly fall.
Bringing your awareness now to the whole breath from the tip of the nose all the way down to the belly and then back up out through the nose.
Cycling the breath through the body like this.
You may begin to get a sense of the peace that this practice,
This breath awareness brings.
And allow that peace to begin to spread through the body.
Feeling the tone for your being.
Begin to shift our awareness downward,
Down to the base of the spine.
You can imagine tree roots here descending down into the ground.
These tree roots are an energetic extension of your body.
They allow you to create a connection with the earth with earth energy.
Visualizing this connection allows us to be one with the slower pace of the earth.
As you visualize these roots below you notice your body slowing.
Noticing perhaps a newfound sense of stability and safety in the body.
Feeling that ground beneath you,
That strong supportive energy.
Let's begin now to shift our awareness upward toward the crown.
And as we do this you may find that your body,
That your spine tends to stretch to draw upward.
As we draw upward along the spine we are like the trunk of the tree.
And as we move our awareness upward along the trunk of our bodies and out through the crown we allow ourselves to stretch upward here as well.
Like branches of a tree we extend upward.
Keeping the body rooted to the ground in safety and security and allowing the branches to extend upward,
Opening up to possibility.
Feeling the strength and the unity in our being in this moment.
Feeling your life force flowing through your body.
Let's begin now to bring our awareness to that foliage on the trees,
Those leaves.
Imagining the canopy of your being in the way that you open yourself up to the world.
Perhaps it is big wide branches full of leaves.
Perhaps you have a few branches that reach straight upward.
Just allowing yourself to imagine your tree being as it presents itself to you.
Staying with this image of the tree I invite you to begin to imagine a gentle rainfall.
You can hear the sounds of tiny raindrops as they drip against the leaves.
The soothing cleansing sound.
Feeling in your energy the energy of your tree body how refreshing it is to welcome this cleansing energy.
Allowing the rain now to fall more heavily on the branches,
On the leaves.
Perhaps small puddles are gathering and trickling down the branches and down the trunk and into the soil.
Feel that flow of water moving downward.
Cleansing releasing.
With this flow of water you can begin to imagine yourself releasing anything that you may have picked up.
Any energy that is in yours.
Anything that doesn't feel like it resonates with the frequency of your body.
Letting that refreshing sensation of the water over your limbs invite you into a state of ease.
Where letting go is easy.
Cleansing and purifying.
Releasing to the earth.
Allowing yourself to be refreshed,
Replenished.
Allowing yourself to return back to your own clear and peaceful self.
Let's take a few cleansing breaths here.
Feeling that release,
That shedding of energy.
A seemed start.
You Noticing now the peace and the stillness in your body,
The freedom and spaciousness you have to occupy your own energy,
And the clarity that you feel in recognizing the energy that comes from you and the energy that you pick up along the way.
Welcoming a deep breath into the body and bringing your awareness back gently easing your way in to your next waking moment.
