Hello beautiful being.
It is another rainy day here in the Pacific Northwest,
So I thought that today we could go for a walk in the forest together and enjoy some time in nature.
So if you have some time,
I'd love to take you there.
Go ahead and find a nice comfortable space to practice.
You can either sit down or lay down,
Whatever feels like the best place to visualize and travel.
I'll go ahead and give you a moment to find a cozy spot.
Now go ahead and close your eyes.
And as we settle in,
We're going to take a nice big breath of air in through our nose.
And release.
And one more.
And out.
And as we come closer to this present moment,
Just bring about whatever you might want to let go of on our walk today.
Don't worry if you can't let it go now.
Just let yourself feel into what has felt like such a heavy weight.
And know that the forest will be there to listen.
As we approach one of my favorite trails in the Pacific Northwest,
The tiniest birds sing happily in the trees,
Their bellies full after eating the fruits,
Nuts,
And seeds of the forest.
Some have even enjoyed the sap from the fir and maple trees.
Some of them you can even see,
Nestling into their nests for a nap.
As we stand and smile,
We take another deep breath in and let the sweet and refreshing smell of pine fill our noses and open our lungs.
We begin to walk and take in all the beauty of this quiet but lively forest.
As we look around,
The ancient trees stand wise,
Resilient,
And welcoming.
Their deep greens surrounded by emerald ferns resting on the forest floor.
Webs of intelligent spiders reach out from one to the next as they catch the dew of the rainfall from the night before.
And with just enough sun,
They glisten like stars in the vast night sky.
The moss hugs nearly everything,
Even the trees that have died that now grow new life.
A smile is spread across your face,
And you realize how perfectly nature is done when it does not try.
In the background,
You can hear rustling,
Squirrels and rabbits roaming their home freely.
As we continue to walk,
We take a moment of silence just to be in the now and to connect with our home in awe and wonder.
You come across a 900-year-old giant,
A beautiful red cedar tree,
And you decide to venture off to go connect.
Its trunk reaches up to the sky,
Unshakable,
Sturdy,
And alive.
The beauty and change it must have witnessed all these years,
The lives it must have carried.
It calls so deeply to you that you hug it with arms stretched as wide as you possibly can.
Though it is impossible to reach all the way around,
You can feel the safe embrace it gives you.
As you take a deep breath in,
You remember what you were so deeply worried about,
And as you release,
The tree speaks,
Ah,
Yes,
I can take this for you.
Not only does the cedar take what hurts,
It makes sure it is carried away into the sky until it disappears.
And you sigh,
And you just stay here for another moment to say thank you as you smile together,
Both ancient giants of nature and love.
We stay and explore for as long as you wish,
And realize there is a stillness here among the noise.
That all of this is us too.
The growth,
The beginnings,
The endings,
The changes.
There is nothing we have to do to make magic happen.
There is only now.
Only now.
I would like you to take one more deep breath in of this beautiful forest,
And as you release,
Open your eyes to the space you are in.
Know that this space too is nature.
It is here for you to explore,
Witness,
And to listen.
You are never alone.
I so deeply enjoyed our walk today.
Thank you so much for joining me.
Please know this will always be here for you when you need a moment to get away and let go.
May you be at peace and know the forest and I are sending you love for today,
Tomorrow,
And always.
