Hello beautiful being.
I am so happy and grateful to be here with you today.
I would like to ask you a very important question.
How are you?
How is your beautiful earth doing today?
How is your human in this moment?
Is there discomfort?
Is there joy?
Is there pain?
Both physical and emotional?
Is there acceptance?
Are you aware of your divine power today?
I have recently been trying to understand why I sometimes forget to ask myself,
How are you?
What do you need?
What can I do for you?
So often we ask this question of our loved ones,
Of the people we work with,
Of strangers we pass through our daily life,
Of our daily tasks.
We so often want to show up for others that we forget to also show up for ourselves.
We so often want to befriend others and though this is beautiful,
We forget to make friends with who we are as well.
We gaze out at the sun setting and marvel at the paintings in the sky.
We look up at the stars at night and smile at their ancient wisdom.
We embrace our partners,
Our family,
Our friends with an immense respect and gratitude.
So many of us see the beauty of this earth around us and forget that we are that too.
I know we are not alone in this.
So today I wanted to guide us all in a meditation in hopes that I can guide us into becoming friends with ourselves.
As I guide you through this today,
I want to remind you that this is a safe space to be in the rubble,
To be yourself in all that you are or may be feeling.
We are going to start by sitting up or laying down in our comfortable place to practice.
Go ahead and close your eyes as we go on this journey.
We are going to take a deep breath in and out and one more and out.
If you need extra mindful breaths today,
Go ahead and do that now.
I would like you to bring forth an image of yourself,
Any image of yourself you may choose.
Perhaps it is the present you,
Perhaps it is a child like you,
Maybe it is a you that has been suffering or a you that has been unkind to yourself and maybe it is even a you that you love.
This practice can work for any of them today.
Just whatever image you feel needs your love and friendship right now.
As this image arrives into your awareness,
You may feel an array of emotions,
Be it fear,
Loneliness,
Sadness,
Grief,
Anger or joy.
Let those be here.
Let those be.
Now I would like you to place your hand over your heart and sit in this space with that image.
Ask them,
What do you need?
How can I help you today?
How can I show up for you?
I'm going to give you some time to reflect and be with yourself now.
Sometimes what we need is not a new life,
But it is a moment to breathe.
Sometimes it is a warm bath or an entire day to burrow in the comfort of our bed and cry.
To honor the feelings we no longer need to keep confined.
Sometimes it is treating ourselves to a coffee or a tea at our favorite shop.
Maybe a walk in nature,
A sunset to remind us of the divine rotation of the planet that holds us.
Sometimes we just need to ask as a friend does,
What do I need?
Now I would like you to wrap yourself in your arms and give yourself the hug you may be needing.
While holding yourself in your safety,
I would like you to give yourself some words of love.
I believe in you.
I believe that you are doing great things.
I am proud of you.
I am proud of the journey you have been on.
The journey you are approaching.
I am listening.
I am here to listen to what you need.
I am here to give you the moment,
The day,
The love that you need.
I am giving you permission to be whatever you need to be today.
I am the earth changing and ending and beginning.
I am all but alone.
Today,

You opened your eyes to the world and came to sit with yourself,
To sit with your nature,
That one with the earth.
Today,
You came to make friends with yourself and listen to what you need.
May you never forget what a gift this is to give to yourself.
