My name is Sneha Shah and today I am going to help you release any anxiety you may have.
Anxiety is a feeling of unease,
Worry or fear.
All of us feel anxious at some point in our life but sometimes this feeling can get overwhelming.
For some people it can be an ongoing problem.
This visualization is designed to help you relax and focus on releasing anxiety rather than resisting it.
To make the best use of this meditation,
Take some time free of all distractions.
You can listen to this by either sitting or lying down.
So begin by finding a comfortable position and when you feel settled,
Close your eyes.
Begin to connect with your breath making each inhalation and exhalation slow and easy.
Breathe in and out.
With every breath allow yourself to quieten down.
As you're breathing,
Become aware of the sensations in your body.
If there is any tension or tightness,
Just allow your body to relax.
If there are thoughts running in your head,
Just allow them to come and pass.
Don't resist anything.
Just stay in the awareness.
You might worry about the future or have some thoughts about the past and this is normal.
Just slowly bring your attention back to your breath as you breathe in and breathe out.
Now picture yourself at the beach lying on the warm sand.
Feel the breeze blowing in your face,
Gently caressing your cheeks.
Feel yourself relax completely.
Now imagine that your thoughts and feelings are just like the wind blowing or the waves rolling in and out.
They just come and go.
Continue with your breathing,
Letting everything become the wind and the wave coming and going.
Now bring to your mind a situation that you feel anxious about.
It could be about work,
Health,
Losing your loved ones or being alone.
Get in touch with the feeling of anxiety or fear and simply allow it to surface without resisting.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Now allow yourself to visualize these thoughts,
The anxious thoughts and feelings become the wind.
See these thoughts gradually float away just like the wind further away from you.
And now let your anxious thoughts and feelings become the wave.
Now let your anxious thoughts and feelings become the waves.
Watching these thoughts rise and then gradually dissolve,
Knowing that nothing is permanent and just as everything else.
These thoughts come and go.
Resistance or overthinking only makes the anxiety stay while acceptance allows the fear to dissipate,
To dissolve.
Remember that you will always experience some level of anxiety.
It's impossible for it to disappear.
But instead of resisting,
Learn to acknowledge your thoughts and feelings.
Accept them and then see how they float away.
Take a deep breath in and exhale.
And now repeat these affirmations after me,
Knowing that each word is true for you.
You could repeat the affirmations aloud or in your mind.
It's only a thought and a thought can be changed.
I now release all fear and anxiety.
I free myself from all destructive thoughts.
I release all past experiences with ease.
I trust the process of life.
I am safe.
I am strong and adequate to handle all situations.
I trust myself.
I have the power to make positive changes in my life.
I am always divinely protected.
I am safe and all is well in my world.
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
Feeling the lightness in your being.
Gradually bring your attention back to your body and to your surrounding.
Gently open your eyes and stretch your body.
Notice how you're feeling,
Knowing that you can do this meditation as often as you like and experience amazing shifts and changes.
All is well in your world.
