Rush hour.

No need to rush.

Slow down.

Stop.

See.

Be simply aware of what is going on.

Take in the world.

Notice each person as they hurry by.

Look at them.

Follow their path as they travel through space.

This moment,

Truly see them.

Each one is a unique individual.

What a wonderful chance to offer them loving-kindness.

May you be safe.

May you be happy.

May you be healthy.

May you be at ease.

May you be joyful.

May you be peaceful.

May you be contented.

May you be at ease.

May you be safe.

May you be healthy.

Just as you seek happiness,

All beings everywhere also want happiness.

Offer everyone you see and everyone unseen unconditional good wishes.

May all beings be at peace.

This is street loving-kindness.

This is Sharon Salzberg.
