Stopping to be present is one of the most beautiful gifts we can offer ourselves.

It helps us to regain control,

To feel connected in an authentic and intimate way.

It helps us to be the governor of ourselves.

With a smile on our face,

This is my life.

I am right here.

I invite you to imagine yourself as a rock.

My favorite rock,

If you have one,

Or just one that you can imagine yourself being.

It could be along a river's edge or at the top of a mountain,

Or right here in your space where you are.

Imagine as you are this rock,

Feel the presence,

Feel the ground,

Feel the connection to the earth underneath you,

To the ground that goes so deep,

That spreads so wide.

Notice the sense of stability and ease that comes with simply being as a rock.

There's nothing being requested of you.

There's no action that needs to be taken.

You're simply right here.

This is all that is,

And this is all that's needed.

If rocks could smile,

Perhaps you feel a smile.

Around you,

The world can be busy,

Can be active,

Yet you're just right here,

Being present with it all without needing to react,

Without even needing to respond.

Your simple grounded presence is all that's needed.

It's the perfect response.

As a rock,

You observe life's comings and goings.

You simply are.

Everything that moves around you comes and it goes,

Yet you remain stable and sturdy,

Quiet in your presence.

What a gift it is to be a part of,

To be connected so deeply,

Feeling and noticing the spaciousness around you,

All of the elements that you're a part of,

A sense of being deeply connected to life.

You inter-are with everything.

You are an important element of this space.

Simply observing,

Noticing,

Being present too.

Sitting as your rock,

You're right here with all of life in the most grounded,

Elemental way.

There's a deep level of acceptance that this is life in this moment,

That this is it.

Everything is simply placed down.

There's nothing to carry or to worry about.

There's nothing else to do.

You just are as your rock,

Noticing all of the changing conditions of life,

Being with everything,

Doing nothing,

But simply being present,

Whole and complete.

I invite you to bring this sense of presence with you as you navigate your day for all of the changing conditions that arrive.

Continue to be your rock so you can observe,

Notice,

Be grounded with full presence.
