The festive season often carries expectations of joy and celebration,
But it's okay if your heart feels differently.
This meditation is here to remind you that all your feelings are valid and that even in moments of pain,
You are held in love and compassion.
Allow yourself to get comfortable,
Seated,
Lying or even in your bed.
Gently close your eyes and allow your body to soften.
Feeling supported by the ground beneath you.
Bring awareness to your breath.
No need to change it,
Just notice its natural rhythm.
With each exhale,
Each breath out,
Imagine releasing some of the tension in your body,
Letting your shoulders drop,
Your jaw relax,
Your hands softly open and rest.
Allow your body to sigh out a release.
Your body becomes heavy and soft.
With each inhale,
Each breath in,
Invite a sense of warmth and safety.
Feel your heart begin to feel light.
As you breathe,
Bring your attention to your heart space.
How does it feel today?
Is it heavy,
Tender,
Numb?
Perhaps there's a mix of sensations you can't quite name.
Wherever you find,
Know that it's okay.
There's no wrong or right way to feel.
Simply hold space for your emotions,
Like you would a dear friend.
Imagine your breath surrounding your heart like a soft,
Comforting blanket saying,
I see you.
It's okay to feel this way.
If tears come,
Let them fall freely.
If there's stillness,
Allow it to be.
Every part of your experience is welcome here.
Now imagine yourself sitting in a cozy room,
Wrapped in a warm blanket.
There's a soft glow from a fire,
And outside the window you see gentle snow falling.
You feel safe here.
You feel warm.
You feel cozy.
You feel held in a space of deep care and understanding.
In this room,
You're not alone.
You're surrounded by the presence of love.
Perhaps a loved one,
A guardian,
Or simply the energy of compassion itself.
Picture this presence beside you,
Holding your hand or simply offering warmth and kindness.
Feel the energy wrap around you like a loving embrace.
They say to you,
You are not alone.
Your pain is seen and your heart is held.
You are loved exactly as you are.
Let their words settle into your being.
Take a moment to rest in this feeling of being deeply supported.
Inhaling that sense of warmth and support.
Exhaling anything you wish to release and let go of.
Hold the sense of warmth and comfort you've created into your heart.
Know that this space is ready available to you any time you need it.
Just close your eyes and hold your heart.
Affirm to yourself,
I am held in love.
It's okay to feel this way.
