And manifest your true nature,
One full of love,

And passion.
Welcome to episode 33,
Impermanence meditation.
Today I'm going to take you through a guided meditation to allow you to further connect with impermanence,
How everything is in its constant state of change.
In this meditation,
I won't be having background music and there'll be brief periods of silence.
This will allow you to further connect with impermanence,
Both within you and around you.
Begin to get comfortable in your space wherever that is for you.
Sit in a comfortable position with your back straight and relaxing into your space.
Spend a few moments allowing your mind to settle down in the present moment.
Let go of any thoughts of the past or the future.
Take this time to a space for inner awareness and connection.
Gently connecting with the rise and fall of your body as you breathe,
Allowing it to guide you to a space of relaxation.
Bringing your awareness to your breath.
Start to connect with the impermanence of your breathing.
Each breath is different from the one before.
And it's different from the one that comes after.
You are breathing in different air with each breath.
And your body is changing with each breath.
There are different sensations around your nose,
Inside your nostrils.
Your lungs expand and contract.
Your abdomen rises and falls.
In each moment,
With each breath,
There is change in ebb and flow.
Connect with the awareness of other changes that are taking place in your body in each moment.
Think of how your body is made of many different parts.
Your head,
Shoulders,
Arms,
Chest and back.
Abdomen,
Hips,
Legs and feet.
Your skin,
Blood,
Bones,
Nerves and muscles.
And how all of these parts themselves are made of yet even smaller parts.
Your cells.
Connect with the movement that is going on within each moment.
The beating of your heart.
The flow of your blood and energy of your nerves.
Your cells being born.
Moving about.
Dyeing and disintegrating as new ones emerge.
Going even deeper and connecting with the molecules,
Atoms and subatomic particles that pick up all parts of your body and are in constant motion.
Take a moment to connect with this feeling of change that is taking place each moment in your body.
Now guide your attention to your mind,
It too being made of many parts.
Your thoughts,
Perceptions,
Memories,
Images,
Chasing one after the other.
Imagine yourself observing the ever-changing flow and experiences of your mind.
Observe them as you would,
Looking out a window at cars passing by,
People and animals and the trees blowing with the wind.
Observe your mind,
Don't cling to anything that you see in your mind.
No judgement,
Simply observe and connect with the impermanence and ever-changing nature of your mind.
As we connect and reflect on the impermanence of our inner world within our body and our mind,
Expand your awareness to the outer world.
In your mind's eye,
Think about your immediate surroundings,
The cushion or mat you're sitting on,
The floors,
The walls,
Windows and ceiling of the room that you are within,
The furniture and objects in your space.
Consider each of these things,
Although appearing solid,
Are a mass of tiny particles whizzing around in space.
Sit in this awareness of the impermanent,
Constantly changing nature of these things.
Connecting your awareness further beyond the walls of your room and connecting to the awareness of other people,
Their bodies and minds also in a constant state of change,
Not staying the same for even one moment,
This same truth applying to all living beings,
Your pets,
Animals,
Birds,
Insects,
Nature all around you.
Think of all the inanimate objects in the world and universe,
Houses,
Buildings,
Roads,
Trees,
Trees,
Mountains,
Oceans and rivers,
The earth,
The sun,
Moon and stars.
All of these things composed of atoms and minute particles in a constant state of change,
Every moment,
Every second,
Nothing staying the same.
Connecting with this awareness of impermanence,
Allowing yourself to recognize and accept the impermanent nature of everything.
Each moment is a new moment.
Every second is different than the one before and after,
Within ourselves,
Outside of ourselves,
Gaining comfort and peace within this awareness,
Accepting and appreciating the flow of life all around us.
Begin to connect back to that ebb and flow of your breathing,
Bringing with you this comfort in awareness and connection of impermanence.
With each breath in,
There is change,
With each breath out,
There is change.
Bringing in a nice deep inhale as you connect back with your body and exhale,
Coming back into your space and opening your eyes,
Wiggling your fingers and toes,
Maybe stretching and coming back to your space.
Thank you everyone for spending this time and space with me,
Allowing yourself to just take a moment to connect more with impermanence,
Recognizing and seeing the impermanence of our breath,
That constant change in our body,
The change and impermanence of those around us,
Of things around us,
Of the earth and the moon and the universe around us,
And gaining comfort and safety in this,
Recognizing how this applies to our emotions,
To our stories,
To difficult situations.
Everything is changing and even those things that seem heavy and difficult will also change.
Bringing kindness and compassion towards yourself in the process can make such a difference in allowing yourself to flow with that change,
Reminding yourself that the more you let go of resisting acceptance,
The easier it is to flow with the ever-changing nature around us.
As always,
