Welcome.

Today is a new day and now it's time to prepare your mind and body to help you enjoy what's to come.

Remember,

You can pause this meditation whenever you like.

Take a big breath in and out.

Congratulations.

Now that you have done your homework for the day,

It's time to get curious about the importance of exercise with family and friends.

Please remember,

It's okay to get dirty and to get wet and messy for a short while,

So long as afterwards you get clean.

For now,

The world is relearning how to stay healthy and share our outside spaces.

So it's important to be patient and creative by imagining what fun you can have with others both now and when the time is right.

Take a big breath in and out.

Together,

Let's think.

What can you do outside with your parents and siblings?

What else comes to mind?

Maybe you could plant flowers or start a vegetable garden.

How about sit outside and draw and color what you see and hear?

What else can you think of and try?

Take a big breath in and out.

Let's use our imagination for the near present but also for the future of safe playtime.

Imagine being outside in the spring or summertime.

You're with your friends playing in the backyard or the park.

What game are you playing?

Is it tag or maybe hide-and-go-seek?

Maybe it's with your parents or brothers and sisters.

What else can you imagine?

Take a big breath in and out.

Now imagine being outside in the fall.

What can you do in the fall?

Maybe you can notice the pretty colored red,

Orange,

And yellow leaves on a walk in the park or on a hiking trail with your parents.

Maybe you could invite a friend and maybe while on your adventure you could explore and see if you could find a river or notice a bird you've never seen before or find a pretty little stone you could take home to help remember the fun that you had or maybe you could carefully and safely ride your bike on the forest trail with company instead of walking.

Take a big breath in and out.

Now imagine being outside in the wintertime building snow people or trying to build a snow fort with your friends.

Maybe you could have a snowball toss or go tobogganing down a little hill with your parents and friends.

Think about what else you can do in the winter.

Maybe you want to practice or learn how to ice skate or ski.

Whatever it is,

Concentrate on enjoying being outside with family and friends.

Take a big breath in and out.

No matter the season,

Feel the smile on your face as you use your imagination because your imagination will inspire you to do whatever you dream.

Take one last slow and big breath in and out.

Finally,

It's time to relax and say our thank yous to remind us to appreciate life.

Are you ready?

Very quietly,

Please repeat after me.

Thank you for my home that gives me a place to live.

Thank you for the food I eat that feeds me.

Thank you for my friends,

My family,

And my teachers who care for me.

Thank you for my parents who love me.

Thank you for my wonderful life.

Let's take one last big breath in and out and as you slowly open your eyes,

Let me leave you with these words.

It's a great day to be alive.

It's playtime.
