Welcome.

Thank you for allowing me to participate with you in your journey to internalize the concept of making self-trust a must.

Make yourself comfortable by sitting still or laying down.

Close your eyes.

Allow the muscles in your face,

Your neck,

And your shoulders to fall.

Help relax your body and mind by just listening to your breathing.

Breathe very deeply and very slowly.

Quiet your mind of any questions,

Responsibilities,

Thoughts,

And desires by just breathing deeply,

By staying relaxed and still.

Take a moment and appreciate yourself for making the time to listen to this meditation.

Take a deep breath in and out.

Let's begin.

It is not unusual to assume that a significant amount of self-talk and self-thought is negative for many people.

You must habitualize saying yes to your thoughts 80% of the time by reminding yourself that overcoming your struggles are possible.

Self-trust is the tool used to fully unlock your dreams and your greatness.

And since you can't get out of life alive,

You might as well trust yourself and have a good time.

Take a calming deep breath in and out.

Here is a suggested checklist on how to manifest self-trust.

First,

Remember your capacity to self-trust is unlimited.

Second,

Decide that you are now willing to listen to your instincts more intently than ever before.

Third,

Choose to take more practical risks and follow through on every large and small commitment with the willingness to sacrifice your disempowering patterns of behavior like overthinking or acting out of fear,

Guilt,

Or self-doubt.

Take another deep breath in and out.

Imagine that you are on an island alone.

The weather is tropical and the sea breeze feels warm on your skin.

The surrounding water is clean and appears blue and teeming with life.

The flora and fauna on the island is lush and some of it bears edible fruit.

Large and small palm leaves make up a labyrinth of greenery.

The beach is white and randomly littered with dried timber and bamboo.

And the sounds of a gentle tide is calming as it ebbs and flows.

However,

You quickly come to the realization that you presently have no food,

No fresh water,

No shelter,

And no expert help to survive.

You also have the raw and undeveloped resources of the island combined with your faith in yourself to survive this beautiful and unharnessed place.

Take a deep breath in and out.

In this moment,

Let this imagery of the island represent your mind and your self-trust represent your faith to survive.

Because like the island,

Your mind has a vast array of untapped resources.

And like your faith to survive in this example,

Your trust in yourself is vital in tapping and refining the raw resources of your mind.

Like your mind's ability to remind you to notice more of whatever it is you focus on consistently.

Take a slow,

Deep breath in and out.

Please repeat after me.

I am proud of who I am and all that I have done.

I ignore the naysayers that say I cannot do what I want to do and be what I want to be.

It is my gift to be extraordinary.

I actively seek opportunity,

Not just security.

I accept the risks to dream and to build the quality of life I deserve.

Every day I give to receive so that I may achieve.

I accept the dark times of my life as merely training sessions to make me stronger.

Even in the darkest of times,

I always find a way to trust myself.

I realize that no one will trust me better than I trust myself.

And it's up to me to follow through on developing my self-trust.

Take a long,

Deep breath in and out.

Here are two strategies to help sustain self-trust.

1.

Start by making more small and instant decisions as quickly and as easily as possible.

For example,

Choosing what toppings you want on your pizza or choosing which movie to watch.

Go with your gut easily and don't second-guess yourself.

2.

If ever you hesitate to listen to yourself,

Turn self-distrust on itself.

Ask yourself,

What are the benefits of not trusting myself?

What did you come up with?

You may want to pause this recording and write it down.

Then ask yourself,

What are the benefits of self-trust?

What are your thoughts?

Again,

You may benefit by pausing this recording to write it down and then compare both answers first thing tomorrow morning.

Take another deep breath in and out.

As you know,

Life is unpredictable.

But the trust you put in yourself can be made to be as reliable as the sun rising and setting if you let it.

So what does self-trust feel like so that you know when you have it?

Take another slow and calming deep breath.

When you trust yourself,

You know that whatever the circumstance,

You will eventually find a way to succeed.

Meaning,

You quietly and confidently expect that your gut feeling isn't perfect but is probably right for you in the long run.

Therefore,

You expect you will find your way eventually.

And finally,

The more you work on yourself more than anything that feels like a chore,

The more your self-trust will expand.

Please take a moment to appreciate and thank yourself for the discipline you've shown throughout this meditation.

Take all the time you need to just breathe and remember,

You can return to this meditation whenever you please.

Remember that the more you practice this meditation,

The faster and easier it will work for you.

Thank you for taking the time to begin to internalize the concept of making self-trust a must.

And when you're ready,

Slowly open your eyes and let me leave you with these words,

It's a great day to be alive.

Beautiful thank you. A few years ago I had a tattoo on my wrist “Trust” in Sanskrit as a reminder to keep trusting myself in life. Your meditation brought me back to the core reasoning of this tattoo 💚. Thank you for being a beacon of light. 🙏🏻

just perfect!!! I've uprooted my entire life and I am moving to Hawaii next week, and I've been having some jitters and self-doubt. and then I stumble upon this trust meditation, about an island and trusting yourself!!!! I will listen to it everyday until I get there and build my hut and find my life. thank you so much!! 🙏❤️

Phenomenal. Brought me back into myself & calmly fired me up to be actionable and do things that I feel are worthwhile. I struggle tremendously with self doubt and this 13 minute meditation made me feel like I can in fact do the things I continually have doubts about. Will be coming back to this often.
