
Walk Through A Moonlit Forest
In this Calming Sleep Story, designed for Grown ups, I will take you for a walk in a moonlit forest. This Sleep Story for Grown Ups uses Hypnosis and a calming narration (in a female voice) to help you fall asleep fast. Listening to sleep stories is a calming and time-proven way to recover from insomnia and to get the much needed rest at night, especially for Grown Ups. Good evening.
Getting a good night's sleep is critical for your health and well-being.
So the practice today has been designed to gently guide you to a place of deep rest within.
Follow my voice as I take you on a calming walk through a beautiful moonlit forest tonight.
All you need to do is lie down,
Make yourself comfortable and just listen.
My name is Somya and this is part of a 7-day program specially designed to guide you into a state of deep sleep every single night with the help of a new story.
There is nowhere else that you need to be right now.
There is nothing else that you need to do.
Just allow my voice to guide you.
You find yourself standing at the foothill of a beautiful forest.
The sun is about to set for the day.
You can see it at a distance.
Its orange hue coloring the sky pink.
You stand near a tall tree and take a deep breath in.
The calming scent of nature fills your very being.
A little while back there was a gentle rain.
The mud is still wet and the leaves are glistening after a refreshing bath.
You smile and pick up a small pebble that is lying near your feet.
You feel the pebble in your palm and decide to carry it with you to your cabin.
Something about this pebble makes you feel very relaxed.
There is a pathway leading you inside this forest.
You find yourself at ease as you begin walking along this path.
You feel so safe,
So serene,
Surrounded by nature on all sides.
You begin playing with the little pebble,
Feeling it slide between your fingers.
The sky has many shades of the evening now.
Some parts of it are pink,
Some are blue,
Blending into each other beautifully.
The gentle rustling of leaves under your feet fills your heart with joy.
You look down and notice the texture of the leaves on the ground.
Most of them are turning brown,
With torn edges.
The soft,
Crunching sound helps you feel present,
Feel grounded.
You smile and once again you take a deep breath in,
Feeling the cool,
Fresh air into your nostrils.
And as you exhale,
You relax your shoulders and release all the worries,
All the stress from the day that has just gone by.
You notice that flocks of birds are flying back home,
Reminding you that it is time for you to unwind and rest as well.
As you walk further along,
The evening begins to grow denser,
And some stars begin to twinkle in the evening sky.
The sky is now a dark shade of blue.
You decide to pause near another tree,
This one taller than the last one,
With thick green leaves.
You begin to play with your pebble and look at the distance.
The houses in the distance look like little fireflies.
The flickering yellow lights within them shine bright.
The serenity of the place that you're in begins to soothe your soul,
Healing any wounds that need healing.
Tonight is supposed to be a full moon night.
The light from the moon would be bright enough for you to safely get you to your cabin,
Where a warm,
Soft bed awaits.
You start walking again,
And you can hear the crickets beginning to wake up.
The gentle humming sound makes you smile,
Reminding you that it's time to let go of all your worries.
The light of the moon begins to light your path now.
You look up at the sky and feel awed at what you see.
There is a bright,
Beautiful full moon,
And you can see it from in between the branches of a tree.
The moon has a slight yellow tinge to it.
A milky,
Soothing aura surrounds it.
Thinking about the moon fills your heart with so much joy,
So much peace,
That you decide to embrace its presence.
As you notice the moon,
You can feel its light touch your skin and fill you with a calming,
Grounding energy.
There is a gentle breeze in the forest.
The breeze carries with it the smell of fresh flowers and fruits.
You close your eyes and raise both your arms up towards the sky,
Almost inviting and welcoming the moonlight into your being.
You bathe in this light,
Feeling so fresh and so grounded.
You feel one with everything that is around you.
The flowers that line up your path,
The leaves under your feet,
The trees surrounding you,
The stars at the distance.
You take a deep breath in,
And as you begin to walk again,
You release and let go of any baggage that is no longer serving you.
Consciously drop it on the path,
Knowing that it's time for you to let it go.
It has run its course,
Like these leaves,
And holding onto it will only bring suffering.
So it's okay for you to shed it now.
You are ready to release.
Take a deep breath in,
And as you breathe out,
You feel light,
Like a load has been taken off your chest and your shoulders.
If you're not ready to release it completely,
That's okay too.
One step at a time,
Like this walk.
You feel healed,
Happy and light as you continue walking forward.
You can see your whole now.
A sweet little cabin surrounded by trees and beautiful white flowers that smell so nice.
You take a deep breath in,
And let it go.
You look at your home with love.
This is where you will be resting tonight.
A sense of safety and belongingness fills your heart as you enter the fence.
This is your safe space.
All of you is welcome here.
Your light and your shadows,
Your joys and your sorrows.
You open the front door and enter your home now.
There is a big window and your bed is placed next to it.
The entire room is filled with the light of the moon.
Look around now.
What do you see in your safe space?
Are there any familiar smells?
What have you kept in this space that is so comforting and soothing?
You walk to your bed and you keep the pebble on the bedside table.
This pebble is a reminder to take life one step at a time,
Just like your walk today.
A reminder that you are safe and loved.
The sheets on your bed are so soft.
You feel the comforter with your fingers running your hand over it and the soft soothing touch of the cloth calms you down even more.
Your eyes are getting heavy now and it's time to rest.
You lie down on your bed and maybe you choose to use the blanket.
You can still see the moon from this big window by your bed.
The soothing light filtering into the room.
You allow your eyes to close now,
Ready to drift off into a state of deep sleep.
Your entire body relaxes and your breathing turns deep.
You know that when you wake up tomorrow morning,
You will wake up feeling so calm,
So fresh and filled with a sense of hope and love.
You allow your entire body to release and relax on your bed.
As I count from 5 to 1,
You begin to enter an even deeper state of rest.
Your entire body relaxes.
Your eyes are getting heavy and your breathing is deep.
Drifting off,
Ready to sleep.
Entering a state of rest.
Deep sleep.
If you are already asleep,
I wish for you a very relaxing night ahead.
If not,
Allow yourself to rest for some time by keeping your eyes closed.
As and when you wake up from this trance,
You will feel so calm,
So fresh and filled with hope,
Love and energy.
