An intentional day.
Find a comfortable seat and let your eyes close.
Sit up straight,
But don't force it.
Relax the soft tissue of your body and let your posture be nearly effortless as the bones of your skeletal structure support the lift of your spine.
Take a moment to inventory your body.
Notice how you feel right now,
From the inside out.
Notice both pleasant and unpleasant sensations.
Notice what is beyond your ability to feel.
Relax your sense organs.
Soften your eyes.
Let your tongue sink away from the inner surface of your teeth.
And your inner ears.
And even your nostrils.
Direct your inner vision to the space between your eyebrows.
But keep the experience of looking here relaxed.
This is the seat of your third eye,
The intuitive eye that can see all past events and imagine all future possibilities.
To use it,
You must withdraw your energy from the outer world of experience and relax your thinking mind.
As I give the instructions for the first part of our practice,
Focus on the sensation of your self-breathing and just listen.
When I direct you,
I'll ask you to begin with an exhale.
After you finish the exhale,
I'll ask you to inhale deeply through the nose.
As you exhale this next time,
I'll ask you to keep your lips together and make a humming sound as you allow all of the air to leave your lungs.
A sound like this.
I want you to allow the exhalation to be as long as possible until you can no longer hear the sound of yourself humming.
At that point,
I want you to take another deep and full inhalation through the nose,
Repeating the exhale as you hum.
I'm going to ask you to do this for five complete rounds of breath.
Because I cannot hear you,
I will wait silently while you practice.
When I believe you are close to completion,
You will hear my voice again.
Regardless of where you are in your breath cycle,
I'll ask you then to let go and move on to the next part of our practice.
Let's begin now.
No matter where you are in your cycle of breathing,
Exhale.
At the bottom of the exhalation,
Begin a deep and full inhale up the body through the nose.
At the top of the inhale,
Exhale,
Keeping your lips together and making this loud humming vibrational sound like a bumblebee.
Exhale completely until you no longer hear the sound and then begin again.
This is round one.
The next breath is round two.
Aim for five cycles of breath.
Again,
The next ayah of naannu knot.
Let go of control of the breath now.
With your inner vision directed towards your third eye,
Imagine you see a closed door standing in front of you.
Behind the door exists your day.
Ask yourself now,
What do you want from yourself for this day?
Is it to be kind?
Share love?
Stay calm?
Maintain presence?
Focus on business?
Spend time with family?
Accomplish your goals?
Ask yourself now,
What you want from yourself for this day as you look upon the closed door in front of you.
With the answer in your mind,
Exhale.
On your next inhalation,
Imagine you open the door.
You open the door and walk into your day and effortlessly achieve exactly what you want from yourself.
Step through the doorway and see your day unfold precisely how you want it to.
See yourself behaving in all the ways that support you meeting your intention.
Take time now to walk into your day through the vessel of your third eye and see it unfold in perfect unity with your deepest desires.
Do it now.
Imagine your day fully.
What is the morning like?
What is the afternoon like?
Where do you go?
Who do you see and who do you communicate with?
What activities do you engage in?
What is your evening like?
How do you look?
How do you feel?
Take a few more moments to fully experience a day where you meet your intentions.
Now,
Let go of your day.
Looking at the space between your eyebrows,
Envision the door as completely open.
Repeat to yourself on your next inhalation.
I achieve my highest intention today.
As you exhale,
Repeat.
The doorway to my success is open to me.
I achieve my highest intention today.

Repeat the words now,
Silently,
Inside your mind.
Let go of the words.
Return your breath to its natural rhythm.
Be with the feeling of yourself as you breathe.
To seal in your intention,
We end together with the mantra for the third eye chakra.
A single Aum chanted together.
