A centered day.

Make a choice now to either close your eyes or leave them open.

Regardless of which you chose,

Allow your vision to relax.

Manifest the feeling that your eyes soften away from the inner surface of your eyelids as they sink deep into their sockets.

Let go of effort now.

Effort is contrived.

Effort is wanting to be.

What you're looking for now is to simply be.

This is your nature.

Bring your awareness to your next in-breath.

For a few moments,

Focus on just the in-breaths as you sit with the experience of breathing.

Don't try.

Don't force the breath to be more than it is.

Notice how difficult that is to not interfere.

Make an attempt anyway.

What is it like to breathe in?

Keep your awareness with each in-breath and now transition to include the out-breath.

Let the out-breath be natural.

Don't force it.

Don't make it more than it is.

As you keep your awareness fixed on the sensation of your breath,

Imagine now in your mind your spinal column.

From the very tip of your tailbone all the way to the very top of your spine.

Imagine that you draw all the energy in the tingling of your cells,

That you move it away from the outer surface of your skin and towards this center line of your spine.

With each in-breath,

Rather than breathing out,

Feeling as though the body expands.

Breathe in and as the air comes into the lungs,

Feel the energy of your body come more towards the center of your spine.

This may result in a feeling of breathing up as well.

The in-breath draws you in the energy of your body in towards the center of the spine and rises you up to the very crown of your head.

Let the out-breath be natural and easy.

It helps to imagine that you feel the energy pull in at the base of the spine first and then slowly follow with your mind's eye the breath as it moves in and up the spine to the crown of your head.

Let each exhalation be natural,

Be easy.

Feel as though you're melting into it.

Notice the experience that you're having here.

Is it easy or difficult?

As you breathe in this way,

How does it feel in your body and your mind?

Breathe in and up,

Melt as you exhale.

Breathe in and up,

Melt as you exhale.

Continuing to keep your awareness placed on this feeling of the breath,

Drawing your energy in towards the midline of your body.

Repeat these words.

When I need to find my center,

Here it is.

Feel the breath repeating the words inside of your mind in whatever language is best for you.

When I need to find my center,

Feel your center now.

Here it is.

When I need to find my center,

Here it is.

Stay with the words and the feeling of the breath.

Breathe in and up and melt as you let it go.

Let go of the words.

Let go of the feeling of the breath in this way.

Be effortless.

Stay here for as long as you need before opening your eyes and going about your centered day.

Namaskar.

I’ve never really been taught how to center myself before. I’ve heard many times TO center myself, but not HOW to actually do it. Thank you 🙏

Loved this! You have a great voice. The fx on it and the music were perfectly balanced, thus not distracting. Making it very easy to “melt.” I’ll be returning to this and checking out others you’ve done. Thank you.

That was super cool to do, felt totally detached from my body, with the exception of my head in the coolness on my upper arm. Thank you.
