Welcome to this morning meditation to cultivate gratitude for the small things.

I'm Sarasana Croce and I'll be your guide today.

In this short meditation we'll take a moment to celebrate the small things in life,

Connecting with gratitude and discovering joy in the beauty of everyday moments.

Go ahead and find a comfortable position,

Whether that's seated or lying down,

And then gently close your eyes if that feels safe.

Take a deep breath in and just breathe in a sense of wonder for life,

For your breath and for all the small,

Simple,

Beautiful things that surround you.

And as you exhale,

Let go of any lingering stress and instead make space for gratitude to fill your heart.

And just keep on breathing and let your breath settle into its natural rhythm,

As if each inhale is a gentle reminder of the abundance you already have and each exhale is an expression of gratitude.

Now bring your awareness to your body,

Feel the support beneath you,

The earth,

A chair or your bed,

Holding you gently,

Reminding you that you are cared for.

Notice the sensation of the air on your skin,

The clothes that touch you,

And the steady rise and fall of your breath.

These small things are here for you every day,

Supporting you quietly.

Take a moment to appreciate these small gifts,

Knowing that they are always present.

As you breathe in,

Bring your attention to your heart.

Gratitude often begins in the smallest of places,

A warm sip of tea,

The sound of a bird outside your window or the soft light of the morning sun.

Inhale deeply and feel your heart expand as you think of one small thing you are thankful for today.

And now exhale and let that feeling of appreciation spread through your entire body.

So often we get caught up chasing big moments,

Thinking that happiness lies somewhere out of reach.

But the truth is,

Joy often hides in the little things,

Like the laughter of a loved one,

The feeling of your favorite sweater,

The coziness,

Or the quiet moments before the world wakes up.

Take a deep breath in and as you do,

Fill yourself with a sense of awe for these small,

Magical moments.

And exhale and let yourself be present,

Knowing that right here,

Right now,

You have everything you need,

Now,

Still focusing on your heart.

Imagine a soft,

Golden light radiating from your heart.

This light represents all the things you are grateful for,

Big and small.

With each inhale,

Feel this light grow brighter,

Expanding outwards,

Filling you with warmth.

And with each exhale,

Send your light out into the world,

Sharing your gratitude,

Knowing that it creates a ripple of kindness and connection.

Now picture yourself walking through a meadow,

The sunlight is gently warming your skin and the breeze carries the scent of wildflowers.

As you walk,

You notice all the simple beauties around you,

A butterfly fluttering by,

The sound of leaves rustling and the feeling of soft grass beneath your naked feet.

Each of these moments is an opportunity to connect with gratitude.

Breathe in deeply and let yourself be filled with the beauty of this world,

Appreciating the little gifts that make life so special.

Gratitude is a practice,

A way to see the world with fresh eyes and it doesn't need to be reserved for big events or special days.

With each breath,

Remind yourself that there is so much to be thankful for,

Even in the smallest of moments.

Let gratitude be a compass that guides you through your day,

Opening your heart to the magic all around you.

Take one final deep breath in,

Filling yourself with appreciation for the simple joys in your life and as you exhale,

Let this feeling of gratitude settle into your heart,

Grounding you in the beauty of today.

When you're ready,

Slowly bring your awareness back to the room,

Wiggle your fingers and toes and carry the sense of gratitude with you as you move through your day,

Letting you bring many moments of peace and joy.
