Welcome to this meditation for overcoming worry and doubt.
I'm Sarah Zanacroce,
And I'll guide you through this practice today.
I'm recording this on a sunny November day from my home office in Switzerland.
This is your moment to pause,
Release the weight of self-doubt,
And reconnect with the trust you have in yourself.
So go ahead and find a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down,
With your hands resting gently in your lap or at your sides.
If it feels safe,
Gently close your eyes now,
And take a deep breath in through your nose,
Feeling your chest expand fully.
Hold it just for a moment,
And now exhale slowly through your mouth,
Releasing tension,
Worry,
And uncertainty.
Take another deep breath,
This time imagining that you are breathing in calm and trust.
Hold it.
And as you exhale,
Let go of any doubts or heavy thoughts that are holding you back.
And now just let your breath settle into a natural rhythm,
Steady and soothing.
Now bring your attention to your body,
And just notice how it feels in this moment.
Start at the top of your head,
And we'll slowly work downward.
So let your forehead soften and relax.
And now release the tightness around your eyes.
Release all these tiny little muscles around your eyes.
Clench your jaw,
And let your shoulders drop away from your ears.
Feel your chest rise and fall naturally with each breath.
And now consciously soften your belly,
And let your arms rest heavily.
Allow the relaxation to flow down your legs,
All the way to your toes.
And now imagine you're standing at the edge of a calm,
Quiet lake.
The water is still and smooth,
Reflecting the sky above.
This lake represents your mind,
A space that can hold your thoughts and yet remain calm and clear.
As you stand here,
Notice the ripples that come from small pebbles of worry and doubt.
These thoughts may seem persistent,
But they are not permanent.
Pick up one of those pebbles.
It might represent a fear,
A question,
Or some other uncertainty that keeps circling through your mind.
Intentionally look at it,
And now gently toss it into the lake.
Watch the ripples spread out and fade,
Returning the water to stillness.
Feel yourself letting go of the doubts and worries that no longer serve you.
As the water settles,
Take a deep breath in and let it fill you with trust.
Trust in yourself,
Your journey,
And your ability to navigate whatever comes your way.
Exhale and let go of any lingering need to control or overthink.
Now,
Silently repeat the following affirmations after me.
I trust in my ability to handle what comes my way.
I release the doubts that no longer serve me.
I am capable,
And I choose to move forward with courage.
I am enough,
Just as I am.
Feel these words settle deeply within you,
Replacing worry with confidence and doubt with trust.
And now,
Imagine a soft,
Steady light glowing within you.
This light represents your strength,
Your resilience,
And your ability to do hard things.
Feel it growing brighter,
Filling your entire body with warmth and calm.
This light is always with you,
Ready to guide you whenever you need it.
Take another moment to enjoy this feeling of peace and self-trust,
And let the sense of calm surround you,
Holding you steady and strong.
And now,
Bring your awareness back to your breath,
And just let your body breathe for you,
Without effort.
Slowly start to bring your awareness back to the present moment,
Wiggle your fingers and toes gently,
And when you feel ready,
Open your eyes.
I hope you'll carry this sense of confidence and trust with you into your day,
Knowing that you have the strength to let go of doubt and move forward with ease.
