Welcome to this meditation for calm and peace,
Even if you're overwhelmed by work.
I'm Sarah Znacroce and I'll be your guide today.
Go ahead and find a comfortable position,
Whether that's seated or lying down.
And then gently close your eyes if that feels safe.
And let's start by bringing our awareness to the senses.
To really arrive in the present moment.
Start to become aware of sound.
All the noises around you.
Just observing now the coming and going of sound.
And now bring awareness to your body.
Just feel the temperature of the air on your skin.
The clothes that are touching your body.
And the surface beneath you that's supporting you.
And now bring your awareness to gravity,
The external force all around you,
Connecting you to this world.
Just see if you can soften and surrender to this force,
Allowing yourself to become heavy,
Grounded and supported.
And now bring your awareness to your breath.
Breathing in through the nose,
Down into the abdomen,
Into the chest.
And breathing out.
Just continue to breathe this way for a few quiet breaths on your own.
Now let's step into your serene garden,
A sacred space of calmness and peace where you can reconnect with your inner self and find refuge amidst the busyness of work and life.
As you step into this tranquil oasis,
Take a moment to notice the peaceful surroundings,
The gentle sway of the trees,
The soft hum of nature and the soothing presence of the earth beneath you.
Find a comfortable spot to settle down,
Maybe beneath the shade of a wise old tree or near the calming flow of a stream.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath,
Allowing yourself to release the burdens of your workday.
In this moment,
You are free from the demands and expectations of your work.
You are simply present.
Just like the roots of the trees in your garden,
You are deeply anchored even amidst the swirling winds of stress and overwhelm.
Even when the pressures of deadlines and responsibilities feel heavy,
You remain grounded in your inner strength.
Take a moment to acknowledge this strength,
Allowing it to infuse your entire being with a sense of calm and reassurance.
Feel the weight of overwhelm begin to ease as you embrace the idea that you are capable and resilient,
No matter the challenges before you.
As you sit in your tranquil garden,
Surrounded by the gentle embrace of nature,
Let go of any tension or anxiety that has built up within you.
Allow yourself to be enveloped in a sense of calm and self-compassion,
Knowing that it's okay to pause,
To breathe and to take care of yourself.
The demands of work do not define you.
You are enough,
Just as you are.
With each breath you take,
Feel yourself becoming more centered,
More balanced and more at peace,
Releasing the need to constantly strive and achieve.
Embrace the simple truth that you are human and that it's okay to rest and recharge.
And in the stillness of your serene garden,
Take a moment to set an intention for yourself,
A gentle reminder to prioritize your well-being,
To take breaks when needed and to approach your work with a sense of calm and clarity.
Whether it's a commitment to self-care,
A promise to balance work with relaxation or simply a moment of gratitude for your own resilience,
Allow this intention to guide you on your path forward.
And now,
Feel your entire body in a deep state of relaxation and just enjoy this moment of deep rest and relaxation in your own personal inner sanctuary,
A place where you go to feel safe,
Secure,
Grounded and a deep sense of peace and inner love for yourself and all of life around you.
Now bring your awareness back to your breath and just allow your body to breathe for you with no effort whatsoever.
As we prepare to conclude this meditation,
Take one final deep breath,
Allowing the peace and tranquility of your garden to infuse every cell of your being.
And then,
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes and return to the present moment,
Carrying with you a sense of calmness,
Clarity and self-assurance that will light your way wherever you go.
