Hello,

My dear one.

Thank you for being present with me at this moment as we journey together through the storm.

Storms come and go.

And when they come,

They bring wind and rain and sometimes even destruction.

When life brings storms of chaos.

When it feels as if things keep getting worse.

And when it rains,

It pours,

Right?

This rain of life can seem to be coming down so strong at times,

Causing one to feel more intense emotions like fear,

Anger,

Anxiousness,

Loss of control,

Anxiety.

Maybe you are here with me today because you feel a storm raging in your life.

Things feel out of control and hectic and chaotic.

The winds of fear are howling so loudly that it is hard to hear your inner guidance.

Just when you feel like you can stand again,

You lose your balance and get knocked down.

It feels unsteady,

Unstable.

The rain has begun to pour and you feel drenched by it.

There is no covering large enough to protect you.

No umbrella to keep you dry.

Nothing to protect you from the winds and the rains that are coming down.

It is coming at you from every angle and it is so hard to see through the chaos of the storm of life.

Hard to see what is ahead.

So many things seem to be going wrong.

As the rain continues to pour down on you and around you,

Gently close your eyes.

Notice the sound of the rain.

A steady downpour of millions of drops of water forming from the clouds in the sky above.

As they begin to fall towards the earth,

Pouring down,

One drop of water slows down and becomes known to you.

As you set your focus on this single drop of water,

Everything around you also slows down and slower,

Slower until everything stops.

You see this single drop of water hanging in midair as if it were floating right in front of you.

Go inside the drop of water where there is no sound.

Just the stillness of the water.

Be one with the silence of the water.

Be one with the drop.

Look around and notice how perfectly formed the water is.

So smooth.

So still.

Notice the reflection you see.

It reflects the light.

The light within you.

It reflects you.

The water is calm.

The water is peace.

The water is still.

Sit with this stillness and breathe into it as you allow the calm and peace to sweep over your entire being.

The rain continues now to pour down around you,

But you no longer hear it.

Just the calm and peace of the single drop of water you have connected with.

That single drop of water is one thought.

One moment.

One memory.

One lesson.

Focus on the drop of water.

Focus on that thought.

Focus on peace.

Focus on calm.

When it seems that the stress and chaos of life are coming down on you and it feels as if you are overwhelmed by what is happening to you,

It can feel hard to breathe.

It can feel as if everything is weighing down on you.

As if you are drowning and can't find anything to hold onto.

When it seems like too much,

Bring your mind and attention back to the single drop of water and sit within the stillness.

While the storm carries a multitude of single drops of rain,

The storms of life carry with them a multitude of single moments.

When things seem out of your control,

It is hard to see the purpose behind each of these moments.

Just as when the rain is pouring down,

It is hard to see the purpose behind each rain drop.

But somewhere,

Buried in the cold,

Hard,

Dark ground,

Lies a seed waiting for the rain to make its way down to it.

To give it the nourishment it needs.

To gather strength to crack and break free from its shell so that it can grow out of the darkness.

Each rain drop has a purpose.

Each moment has a purpose.

There are seeds buried deep within you as well.

Seeds waiting for the right moment,

The right lesson,

The right experience to come in and nourish it.

To gather strength to help it crack and break free from its shell so that it too can grow out of the darkness.

Take a moment now to look again at the chaotic storm of life that surrounds you.

Imagine everything that is overwhelming you in your life right now.

Overwhelming to you in your life right now.

And gather it all into a single frame or picture.

Take all of it in and then stop.

Stop and freeze this frame.

This one single picture depicting all of your stress and pressure in the world around you.

Now take this framed picture in your mind and imagine that you are hanging it on the wall in front of you.

Study it.

Straighten it.

Now take a few steps back away from the picture on the wall.

Look at this picture of your life,

Of the chaotic storm in your life,

Of the things that are causing you to feel overwhelmed and stressed and anxious and frustrated.

And I'd like you to look closer now.

Look for that single drop of water.

Look for that seed that's buried deep within the darkness.

What is it that you see?

What is it that will benefit and grow from what is happening in your life in this picture?

Train your mind to focus in on a single thing and to find the good in it.

Then go to the next and find the good in that too.

And then go to the next thing and find the good in that.

There is good in everything.

Keep looking at this picture of your storm and find the beauty.

What is waiting within you to be nurtured?

What will come to life because of what is happening right now?

What lesson might you be needing in your life at this moment that you would never have if you weren't facing the storm right now?

What experience might you be having and what is it telling you?

Look.

Look within.

Find the calm.

Find the peace.

And sit with the stillness.

Breathe in the good.

Breathe out the chaos.

Breathe in the good.

Breathe out the chaos.

Breathe in understanding.

Breathe out confusion.

Breathe in peace.

Breathe out conflict.

Breathe in calm.

Breathe out anxiety.

Breathe in acceptance.

Breathe out the need to control.

Be in the moment of calm.

Be in the drop of water.

Focus on the stillness.

Focus on the calm.

Focus on the peace.

Focus on the purpose.

It is already there inside of you.

It is always inside of you.

Focus on the single drop of water.

And where you once could not find something to grab onto,

You now find yourself standing safely on solid ground with a greater understanding of what the storm was trying to teach you.

That you are the water.

You are the storm.
