This meditation is on releasing fear.
Finding a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down,
We'll have our palms face up with the fingers curled inwards,
Relaxing facial muscles,
Neck and shoulders,
Softening chest muscles,
Back muscles,
Belly muscles,
And hips,
Completely arriving into this present moment,
Bringing awareness to the sounds around us,
Bringing awareness to the sounds within us,
Connecting to our breath,
Noticing the cadence,
The depth of each inhale,
And the softening,
The release,
The coming home of each exhale.
We'll stay with what is at this moment,
Present with ourself,
Our thoughts,
Our emotions,
Our feelings,
And if there is any sense of fear present,
We'll simply bring in awareness to it,
Connecting it either to our past or to our future.
If the fear belongs to the past,
We'll simply honor that,
Might have been something we've heard or seen or experienced,
We'll simply put it to rest.
This fear does not belong to us,
To this moment any longer.
If we are connecting the fear to the future,
Let's remind ourself that a future has not happened yet,
It's just an illusion,
An idea,
A thought,
A what-if,
It's a story that it is under our own control.
Now,
Returning back to this present moment and staying with what is,
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
Remaining in control of our emotions,
Our thoughts,
Staying centered,
Allowing the breath to guide us as we breathe in comfortably and breathe out comfortably,
Releasing any fear or anxiety,
Letting go of any fear,
Letting go of any anxiety that doesn't belong to us any longer.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
You may wish to end your meditation with an affirmation,
Today I will stop inventing scary stories about my future.
Today I will stop inventing scary stories about my future.
Relaxing the body,
Opening our eyes and stepping into our best possible future.
