Welcome to this guided inner child meditation.
Before we get started I would like you to find a comfortable position,
Sitting up straight or lying down,
Whatever you prefer.
I invite you into the space imagining you are in the middle of a big meadow.
You are feeling the grass under your feet,
The sun gently caressing your skin,
The wind slightly touching your face.
Take a moment to familiarize yourself with that space,
Look around,
What noises do you hear?
Do you see any animals?
Listen to the wind and connect with that beautiful nature that's all around you.
You see a path in front of you and you feel called to follow it.
While you walk with every step you feel more and more connected to the earth,
Grounding yourself into that space.
You hear the beautiful sounds of nature all around you,
Maybe there is a river,
A stream,
Some water,
Some birds in the air,
Butterflies coming up from the ground.
I want you to take it all in with every breath.
While you are walking along this beautiful space you see this big tree in the far.
It looks like a very old tree that has been here for hundreds of years.
It's beautiful,
Majestic.
The closer you come the more you become aware of how amazing the trunk,
That big sturdy system connecting that tree with the earth through its roots.
These beautiful big branches going into all directions and it feels like the top of the trees just touching the sky.
You feel called to go there,
To explore and the closer you get you see that there is somebody else.
You see a child looking up the tree.
You wonder what is it doing there.
So you get closer and the closer you get a familiarity touches you.
You know that child.
How old is that child that you see,
The child that so much looks like you.
You realize that this child is a younger version of you standing there turning around and looking at you with the biggest smile,
Welcoming you into the space.
The child shows you what it's doing here.
There is a treehouse up in the tree.
Beautiful,
Beautiful majestic treehouse.
It doesn't know how to get there and it asks you for support.
Can you help me get up to the treehouse?
You know in that moment that you will get up to that treehouse.
Whatever it takes you and that child will be sitting up there in just a few moments.
So you come up with a solution on how to get up into that treehouse and once you reach the top the child takes you inside,
Invites you into this beautiful space.
Asks you to have a seat,
To look around,
To enjoy the inside of that house.
What do you see?
What do you feel?
Look outside,
Look at that amazing meadow that you can now see from a bird's eye perspective.
And connect with that child that's sitting right next to you.
Ask if there is something I would like you to know,
If there is something I would like to tell you right now.
And even if not just feel the energy,
Feel that connection.
Because that younger version of you just wants to know you,
Wants to connect.
Wants to know that you have his or her back.
That you are here to support all versions of you at any time.
Ask the child what he would like to do,
What it is that is important today in this space,
In that safe,
Comfortable,
Reassuring space that you both in right now.
I will give you a moment to connect,
To listen,
To feel,
And to hear truly what the child wants to tell you right now.
When you look over the meadow you see how the sun slowly is shining.
Over the meadow you see how the sun slowly is setting behind the trees.
What a beautiful day.
Time flies when you are in a good space.
It's time to go.
Invite your younger version of yourself to come down with you back into the meadow,
Back onto the path that you just came.
Take him or her along to where you came from,
To that space where you started this meditation,
To that space that you are in right now.
I invite you to slowly come back onto the grass,
Walking back that path that you came,
That started that journey.
And while you are walking,
Come back into you.
Maybe wiggle your toes,
Move your head,
Your shoulders a little bit.
And whenever you are ready,
Open your eyes and know that that inner child is always there for you,
Always with you.
Thank you.
