Let's go ahead and get started.
You can be in a comfortable seat or laying down.
Wherever you are,
Just feel that your spine is in alignment.
So feel that your shoulders are over your hips and maybe noticing that clear channel of energy from the pelvic floor to the back of your head.
So you can feel the length of your spine in alignment.
Gradually getting a little bit taller,
Maybe the crown of your head feeling lighter.
And if you feel safe to do so,
You can close the eyes whenever.
You can take a big cleansing breath,
Inhaling to fill up to every corner and edge of your body.
Exhale to let it all go.
You can take cleansing breaths a few more times if you'd like to.
Just letting your shoulders drop down away from the ears.
Letting all the muscles in your forehead spread and soften.
And letting your jaw relax completely.
So trying to feel your body resting how it naturally rests and noticing what your own tendencies are.
So sometimes right away we think that we are resting.
But then when we think about it or check in,
We notice,
Oh no,
The face is really tight,
The shoulders are hunched,
The stomach can be tense,
The glutes,
The pubic bone,
The pelvic floor,
That area.
So just relaxing every area that you notice is holding tension.
And just by checking in and noticing how your mind is doing this morning.
I was saying if it's generally pretty simple and easy to check into the body,
Or maybe the mind is a little distracted and wandering to the past or to the future.
Maybe thinking about anything at all that happened before this exact moment,
Or maybe making lists and planning things for moments ahead.
And each time you notice the mind doing this,
With your awareness of the mind doing that,
You come into the present moment in that position of the observer.
So for the next 30 minutes or so,
Just dedicating yourself to observing.
Observing the mind without judgment.
Observing the body without judgment.
And being kind when judgments come up,
Because they most likely will.
It's just about not attaching yourself to the judgments,
Not taking them as truth.
Start to notice what you can see,
Even when the eyes are closed.
Noticing whatever you see in your own landscape.
Maybe what the backs of your eyelids look like,
Or maybe what the forehead or the skull looks like.
And you don't need to name anything that you see,
Or pass any judgments on what you see.
See if you can just bring all of your awareness into sight,
Into seeing,
So that your whole body is looking through the eyes.
And as you do this,
Feeling the eyelids soften a bit more,
Feeling the forehead soften a bit more.
Let the jaw and the shoulders relax as well.
Let your breath be steady.
And then start to notice everything that you can hear.
So exactly what we just did with the eyes.
Bring all your attention to the eyes.
Now bring all of your attention to the ears.
Listen to the sounds around you in the room that you're in,
No matter how small the sound is,
No matter how big the sound is.
And listen to whatever is furthest away from you.
All the different hums you may be hearing,
And all the different creaks.
Listen to the sounds within your body as well.
So the sound of your own heartbeat,
The sound of your body breathing gently.
And then start to notice the gentle pulsing sensation of your ears.
Remembering that there is a pulse,
There is blood running through the ears.
So just noticing that.
And staying with that pulsing,
And start to follow that into the ear drums,
Into the ear canals.
Traveling through the inner ears,
Allowing your awareness of this pulsing to meet at the space in between the inner ears.
Feeling the pulsing here,
And letting your jaw and your lips soften even more,
Letting your forehead and eyes relax completely.
Start to notice the air entering into your nose,
And you can picture this air filling up that space in between the inner ears.
Just adding to that light,
Adding to that pulse.
Noticing any aromas of the air that you're breathing in,
Maybe even picturing the air,
Seeing it as the life force energy that it is,
And calling that or welcoming that into your body,
Letting that energize the center of your mind.
And now feeling all the sensations of taste inside the mouth.
Feeling all the taste buds on your tongue,
And softening the jaw,
Softening the lips,
The outsides of the lips,
And the insides of the lips,
The gums and the teeth,
The roof of your mouth,
Floor of your mouth,
And the back of your throat.
Let your awareness travel down the throat,
Following your swallow,
And bring your attention into the heart center.
Notice the rhythm of the pulsing of your heart,
And feel that pulsing in unison with the space between the inner ears.
Looks like you have two heartbeats,
One in the mind and one in the heart.
And then allow your awareness from the space in between the inner ears to start to float up so that it comes above the nasal cavity and beneath the crown of your head,
Toward the pineal gland,
And feeling the heartbeat of the pineal gland of your third eye center,
Of your crown,
All the energy centers at the top of your head,
Feeling their natural pulsing sensations.
And then start to bring some awareness into the belly,
About two inches above the navel,
Into the solar plexus,
And feeling that heartbeat that exists within the stomach,
Letting all the muscles of the abdomen soften,
Trusting that it is safe to feel.
Maybe starting to notice the pattern of your digestion,
Maybe starting to see in your inner vision an image of your digestion,
Maybe a small light rotating clockwise around the navel,
Trusting that these things are already present within the body.
There's nothing you have to do in order to see these or feel these things.
This is not a thinking process or a doing process.
This is an energetic listening process.
So staying in that observer,
Observing the pattern of your digestion,
Observing the pulse,
Feeling your lower belly soften completely,
Your pelvic floor spreading,
Your glutes spreading,
And the entire length and the entire width of your legs completely relax.
That softness travels into the ankles and into the feet.
You feel this wave of softness wash over your body from head to toe,
This wave of understanding,
A wave of listening,
A wave of patience with yourself.
Just trusting on a deep and cellular level that you are exactly where you're meant to be,
Reminding yourself of any number of things you could be doing right at this moment.
You have chosen to come here and there is a reason for this.
So recognizing the power of your decisions,
The power of your thoughts,
The power of your body that pumps the blood throughout your entire body,
That digests food,
That beats your heart,
That breathes for you,
All of these powerful processes you have nothing to do with.
They happen whether you are aware of them or not.
Just by being aware and truly grateful for the wonder that is your body and the fact that you are breathing right now,
You are listening right now,
Seeing,
Feeling.
These are all miracles.
And it is natural to forget this.
It's not about how many times we forget,
It's about how many times we remember.
Doing our best to stay there once we do remember.
And being kind to ourselves when we forget.
So I'll move through the chakras now with some affirmations.
So you can feel free to bring your attention to each chakra.
We'll start at the root and work our way up.
But if you would like to just listen to them as affirmations and just observe how your body responds to the affirmations without worrying about,
Wait,
Which chakra am I at?
How am I supposed to feel this?
So if you're feeling that way at all,
I encourage you to just listen to the affirmations.
Repeat them to yourself.
Feel them as truth and then just notice what parts of your bodies feel awakened by the message.
So I am safe.
I am secure.
I am supported.
And I am held by the earth beneath me and by the heavens above me.
Supported on all sides and in all realms.
I am innately creative.
I am a joyful being.
I am worthy of pleasure.
I create things that are meant for me to create.
I am confident in my decisions.
I am confident in who I am.
I am worthy of receiving all good things,
All great things.
I trust that everything I have done and everything I will do is exactly as it should be.
I am compassionate with myself.
I am compassionate with every ounce of pain,
Every bit of struggle I have been through.
I am compassionate with every struggle and bit of pain I'm currently going through.
And I am compassionate for every struggle and bit of pain that I will go through.
I am grateful for all that I've experienced.
I am grateful for all I'm currently experiencing and for all that I will experience in the future.
I am love.
I am light.
I am compassionate and grateful with myself and therefore this allows me to be compassionate and grateful with others.
I am honest with myself and my communications with myself and therefore I am honest with others.
I communicate love and truth and honesty to myself and therefore I communicate love and truth and honesty to others.
I see myself clearly.
I see my inner guide and my intuition.
I trust the messages from my body.
I trust that my inner knowing is greater than any rationalization I can do.
I trust the power I have to see myself clearly without any filters and therefore I can see the world around me clearly without any filters.
I am connected clearly to source energy.
I am connected to the energy that created all of life because I am that life.
I recognize that connection to spirit in myself and therefore I recognize connection to spirit in everyone around me.
Take a moment to allow these messages to soak into you.
Feel the space from the root the base of your spine all the way through the crown of your head.
Feel the energy centers.
Feel them open and clear and receptive.
Your crown,
Your third eye center,
Your throat center,
Your heart center,
Your solar plexus,
Your sacral,
And your root.
All of these chakras aligned with the energy of love and light,
Of compassion,
Of gratitude,
Of honesty,
Truthfulness,
And understanding.
Take a big breath.
Call in a big sip of air to the body and feel that air able to fill you up even more than when we started the practice.
The air can travel through the entire torso,
Up the head,
Down the legs,
With a greater ease with all of our centers cleared and aligned.
Start to again listen to your surroundings,
The space that you're in.
Start to see your body and where you are in space,
Picturing the room around you.
If you would like to,
If it feels normal and natural to you,
You can bring your hands to prayer at heart center,
With your palms and fingers making contact with one another.
The hands where energy usually exits freely is now exiting and then entering into the opposite palm,
Closing that energy circuit around your heart.
So feeling all that energy that's circling around your heart center and gently bowing your head to that heart center,
To your highest possible self,
To the energy that created you,
To the earth that supports you,
And thank yourself,
And thank source,
Thank the earth,
Thank everyone in this room for their time,
Their energy,
For taking this these moments,
For this pure act of self-love and self-care.
May this continue to heal you throughout the rest of your days and may you bring this love and light to everything that you do and to everyone that you see.
Namaste.
