My name is Ruthie and welcome to your meditation for headache relief.
Come into a comfortable position.
Relax the shoulders.
Relax the forehead and the jaw.
Relax the eyebrows,
The eyelids and the cheeks.
Let your entire face be soft.
Relax the belly and relax the glutes.
Feel every muscle in your body soften.
As you start to notice the breath moving in and out of your nose.
Watch the air enter your nose and exit your nose without any control over the breath.
Allowing your body to breathe by itself as you watch.
Surrendering to the breath.
Now watch the air enter into your nose and fill up your entire skull.
See the head fill up with air as you inhale and empty as you exhale.
See your entire head breathing.
Bring your awareness directly to any point in your head that's experiencing pain or discomfort.
Without any fear,
Check in to your head.
Sometimes the pain we experience in our bodies is only asking for a little bit of attention.
And sometimes when we bring our entire awareness to the area of tension or pain,
It will naturally dissipate.
If we check in to these areas with patience,
Kindness and understanding.
Draw your attention concentrated on the ache.
Let your breath be magnetized to the pain,
To the discomfort.
And it's forming it to peace with each breath.
Let your breath act as a filter.
Drawing out any impurities with each exhale.
And feeding healing energy with each inhale.
Challenge any urge to run away from the discomfort.
Trust that facing the discomfort is all that is needed of you.
Release the need to change or fix anything.
Let go.
Let yourself be and let yourself breathe.
Let your entire head,
Your entire scalp soften.
Surrender.
Surrender to what is.
