Hello friends,
This is Ruthie Hannon with your digestion meditation.
This meditation is intended to be a tool to help ease any energy blocks in the solar plexus due to repeated trauma from chronic intestinal inflammation.
This is intended for those suffering from ulcerative colitis,
Crohn's disease,
And IBS,
But it can be enjoyed by all those accepting.
Use this meditation to stimulate digestion while laying in bed,
On a yoga mat,
Sitting upright in a chair,
Or even on the toilet.
Follow my cues and inwardly digest these positive visualizations and affirmations.
And remember to return to this meditation whenever you may need,
Allowing it to penetrate your subconscious in increasingly positive ways.
Okay,
Let us begin.
Sit or lie in whatever position is comfortable for you.
Straighten out your spine and release the shoulders away from the ears.
Allow your eyes to close and your chin to rest beneath the level of your forehead,
Elongating the back of your neck.
Notice any thoughts you're having and then return to this present moment.
Every time your mind runs off with a thought,
Acknowledge that fact and then gently guide your mind back to this moment,
Back to the senses,
And back to your breath.
Relax your jaw and the space between your eyebrows as you visualize every sip of air entering your body as a bright,
White,
Healing light.
Breathe deep into your belly as you see and feel the white light growing just beneath your belly button,
Bit by bit.
Every inhale,
Let the light expand.
And every exhale,
Let the light diffuse throughout your stomach,
Allowing the healing energy to seep into your organs.
Feel the pulse of the light growing warmer and warmer as your body gets heavier and heavier.
Let yourself be and breathe.
Good.
Now,
Notice how the light begins to absorb the color yellow as it gently rotates clockwise throughout your stomach.
See this rotating yellow circle moving throughout your belly.
Listen to the sounds of your digestion and feel the comfort of the food moving seamlessly through your intestines.
Feel your body absorbing all the necessary nutrients as it sends the excess materials on their way to be discarded with ease.
Visualize how you feel after an effortless bowel movement.
See in your mind's eye the relief and accomplishment associated with painlessly disposing of the food you had enjoyed with no remorse or guilt attached.
Feel the release and the ease of the muscles in your stomach,
Opening up and allowing the food to move harmoniously through your stomach,
Nourishing your body along the way.
Each breath sent to your belly,
Feeding into the healing energy rotating throughout your system.
Now,
Bring your attention to your pelvic floor and anus.
Let the light seep down into these areas with ease.
Just being present in this gentle area gives the muscles permission to release any remaining tension.
Feel the relief of no longer needing to strain this area which has been through so much trauma.
Allow the healing light to pulse inside the anus,
Spreading its energy up through the rectum,
Through the coccyx and the sacrum,
Reconnecting back to that light rotating through your organs.
Feel your entire digestive system.
Feel your entire digestive system.
Feel your entire digestive system working with ease.
Feel every organ working effortlessly and flawlessly for your body.
Sometimes we think that our digestion will fail us if we do not have control over it,
So we try so hard to control it.
Exhale and release this thought from your programming.
Release this thought from your programming.
Our bodies take the cues from our minds.
Think of your body as your child.
Yelling at a naughty child will only cause them to act out more,
Following your example of yelling.
But show that same misbehaving child respect and unconditional love and understanding,
And they will follow that more positive example that you set.
Our minds are the only thing that gets in the way of our bodies doing its job.
It isn't always easy to find our energy blocks,
And it's never easy to understand them.
It's a constant effort.
But any amount of time spent in this present moment will bring you closer to understanding and therefore healing.
Quieting the noise and listening to your body with unconditional love and pure intentions is your key.
Give thanks to your body for giving you the gift of life every day.
Be grateful that you have the ability to hear these healing words,
And be grateful that you have a body that allows you to be conscious in this beautiful life.
Thank yourself for taking the time to care for your body in such a gentle and effective way.
Take a moment to let this practice and these messages sink into your heart center,
And then go ahead and seal them into intentions for your daily life,
Allowing them to be accessed at any point,
Whenever you may need.
Remember that each and every time you return to this meditation,
You will heal your stomach and mind in increasingly positive ways.
You may now open your eyes and return your awareness to the surroundings,
Ready to go about your day with effortless digestion and in a state of energized peace.
