It's the power to faith and we often have the habit of saying,
Oh I'm not going to do that,
Oh leave it,
Go away,
Let it go,
Let it go,
It'll go away.
But the interesting thing is it doesn't ever go away because whatever comes to us is something that's for us and so all the problems that come to us are our own energy problems and if I decide to not go there,
Well I miss an opportunity but it will come back,
It's a waste of time really,
It'll come back again,
Again,
Again,
Again until we understand what this energy is telling me,
Of something it's telling me,
There's a message there for us personally,
We're all personal inside,
We're completely unique,
Everyone has a different character and which is one of the,
You could say obstacles in life because sometimes people try to manage others and make them,
Yes at work you would have to follow the rules and wherever you go if there's a set of rules,
Respectfully if you're going there you have to do your best to follow those rules.
But individually we have different ideas about whatever,
Whatever it is because we're unique in the way we think,
We're not the same and which is why there's a lot of problems in the world because people try to manage people in a forceful way,
You have to do this,
You have to do that,
This is this,
This is that and up to a point you do have to follow the rules of society,
The big rules,
Otherwise you're in trouble but you can follow them in a certain way which means you will follow whatever you have to follow but inside you have your own take on what's good for you but the best thing that's good for us is we don't come into conflict with others even though everyone's different,
We don't challenge the difference,
There's no point because that's the way people are,
That's their character,
That's their life experience,
How can I challenge it and say oh well you shouldn't be like that but this is how I am,
So you have to start accepting but in Raja Yoga you start to self-manage yourself and we start to know what's useful and what's not so useful and just do the best we can with that which is in utter conflict with us,
You still have manners and do whatever you can in the circumstances and circumstances usually don't last,
Something just comes and it's away so to cause a big carry on about it was a waste of time because it's just that it and they them do whatever they're going to do,
It's the power to face,
The power to face actually doesn't allow anything to hide,
It's that which is coming to you and the way you're thinking or the things that are coming in front of you but why did they come in front of you?
Why?
Because they've come to you okay,
It doesn't allow anything to hide,
This is the power to bring things out into the light so as you can see,
Oh gosh,
It brings things into the light of day where they can be seen clearly and then it's up to us to think what am I going to do here?
So then they can be transformed,
Whatever these areas are and this power to face is not aggressive but certainly it is assertive like there's obviously something not working and something I need to see so it's a very definite energy,
I need to see it and I can't say I didn't know and I can't say I didn't have a chance,
I can't say oh nothing to do with me,
That's that's all the wrong language,
If it's come in front it is to do with you you have a choice what you're going to do but you have to do something it's assertive and powerful and then we understand that challenges will come my way,
People going away,
People coming in front of you people with hugely different opinions,
Oh it never stops so how do I take myself through that?
I have to face and see what might be required of me if I could do something that was useful there and then I've ticked the box and I can feel okay and if I do that that particular thing has been transformed for myself and there's a good chance that particular area will not come back and we call that moving through your energies and being able to put right that which seemed to have gone wrong challenges will come and then I understand they come to test my resolve and they will keep coming they might come in a slightly different form just to see if you'll accept them now but eventually you do have to accept that which is coming in front because it's come to bring you benefit and it's come for you to clear that energy it could be you had a lot of conflict with someone well you don't want to keep having conflict so if I keep the conflict there and go oh oh yes I'll move away I don't want anything to do with that but if you look at it and think of a nice energy in your way of interaction you could soothe that area of conflict so it's the power to face somehow you've been involved it wouldn't come for no reason it's the law of energy it's not the external challenges that catch me out but the ones that would really undermine me are my own weaknesses so the reason I don't want to know I don't want to make a decision here I don't never heard of it in my life before so that's my weaknesses coming to the defense and these are the thoughts that are dangerous to me they're dangerous because all your stuff that you have to look at will be piling up they're dangerous also because they would rob me of my dreams so our dreams would always be that we got on with that situation the person everything was okay this is better this will work out these are our dreams so it would rob me of my dreams that's something worth thinking about and if I keep going like that this way of thinking this energy in myself would cloud my sense of self and it would cause damage to my soul to my energy because our purest energy is peaceful although we've all moved away from that piece we're now reinstating that piece in ourselves because it's our original energy and all our power all our love for laughter and life and friendship and equality and it's all in our original nature of peaceful nature or today we're giving it the title of silence because if a difficult situation comes in front and if I'm practicing meditation then throughout the day just even for a second two seconds practice silence and that silence can take you over the the obstacle which is making you go no just just relax and be silent and then you'll find that you can see it whatever it is more clearly and you have the power to face like let me see what I can do what can I do here is inside thinking this power to face and the main attributes this is what happens when we develop this power to face our courage and honesty because maybe before we would not look at the part that I played in that situation but blame it on it was this it was this this this them blame it on everything was the weather that day it was this it was that wasn't me we've become a culture of it wasn't me everything that happens to us was me it was me I'll have some I wouldn't have lived my life without being involved so and then unpleasant involvements come along I go it wasn't me nothing to do with me and then I start to tell myself lies and what happens there I myself the best part of me the best part of me starts to not trust me I don't trust myself because I can see that myself as being dishonest I can see that myself is telling a lie I can see it and I've almost ashamed of myself inside because we ourselves know everything and we know what's right and what's wrong because we're the energy in the center of the forehead and we've been on a long journey and that journey everything of that journey which the things we can remember called our memory many things we can't remember but everything I've ever done is recorded it's a record on our energy so our own energy knows that this is something that I have to look at and our own energy knows that I'm refusing and our own energy knows when I make excuses and our own energy knows when I tell lies and it's ashamed I myself instead of self-respect I'm ashamed of myself I'll cover that up as well I'll cover it up and I'll maybe even be more and more smart and the good guy but inside I know it's not true so that's where I lose my power I definitely can't have that power of truth and honesty I've lost it by telling myself lies it's very powerful if you were to really think of this you find that you would really learn how to love the self encourage and support the self when the self gets frightened of a situation has come you can just make it put into a different scenario and make it easy that I can do this I have to do it because I can't it's like an obstacle I can't move myself past that and if I ever tell my life story I'll always bring up the drama of these obstacles this happened and that happened and it wasn't me and life so difficult oh and what I had to go through and I'll carry that script never changing it and never seeing gosh when I face when I have the power to face I feel such a boost of good fresh energy because every time I face something I've released the toxic energy from the soul from the self and many I mean it's not going to be that I've done it I've faced that and that's me but no but you'll still have a a lightness that you didn't have before this is the benefit of meditating I'll have a lightness I never knew I was capable of and the more I face the lighter and the lighter and more honest and the more inside I'll start to trust myself and this is called self-respect I'll trust myself I'll be proud of myself for doing that inside that no one else will know because it's not an ego or an arrogance it's a looking at what's going on how can I do something about it definitely have to do something let me have a good look yeah of course I can do something I must stop disliking I must stop getting angry I must stop being jealous I must stop being forceful so we tell ourselves these things and then we remember and start to practice so even your worst enemy comes along that usually you would shut the door but funnily enough you won't do that you'll think it's okay I've had a look at this and I can face this I'm not intimidated by this anymore I can deal with this I can cope with this I can see where I was also resistant and maybe a bit giving back what I was getting so I was just as bad I can admit these things sort these things out and say ah I haven't seen you for a long time how are you doing so my attitude's changed my entire attitudes change I feel confident in myself it's called self-respect and a lightness of happiness is developing inside me but I can do it so so again the main attributes are courage and honesty and when you use the power to face nothing is too fearsome to handle nothing because whatever it is it's something I've been involved in so it wasn't too fearsome when I was also getting in there in battle gear so I had my share of responsibility there whether it's within you or a person or a situation in life nothing is too fearful to face and there's nothing we cannot sort out in ourselves and decide on the best way to use our energy to finish that situation forever to transform it so that I can see someone that maybe I was jealous of and then I think good for you you deserve your good fortune rather than oh what's going on here I'm not happy about this what can I do about it actually so good wishes good feelings courage honesty here we have some energies that we will receive courage confidence determination and purpose I was looking at the word determination today to deter mind determined deter the mind stop that rubbish in the mind and only I can do it because only I can see how I think and what's in my mind no one else can stop things happening in my mind and they can't all behave just to please me we better be really nice to her so she can change no everyone will come with whatever aggression or force or whatever they have power to faith frees me and allows me to begin to be happy I'm chanting seeing the self in the center of the forehead the soul yeah you have to encourage yourself to have the power to face because otherwise we do blame and of course things out there have a lot to blame they were also involved but I'm looking at myself but usually we could cast the whole blame onto that person or that circumstance or if it wasn't for that I would be fine but I was so upset that I did this and I did that and whatever but when you start to do meditation you're starting to appreciate yourself this is self-respect and no one else can give us that respect except ourselves everyone else will only say this and whatever we do like that they'll criticize even beautiful actions actually because it can irritate them if you're sort of seem to be doing something really good they'll find a fault they'll say it's not true that's just that's not true don't believe that they'll always try to make themselves the best in the wrong way the physical way which would mean having to put down others Raja yoga says you start to uplift others along with yourself even though they were maybe causing you a problem you'll start to be able to face and go it's okay I'm fine now I've got my own strength my own dignity I'm not going there anymore but they're fine they're fine so you learn to bring everything up into a good position you know it's easy to get caught up in but I have proof that it was them I have proof that they did wrong I have proof I can prove it you know we can of course we can but that's not what it's all about it's how it affected you you've now got to deal with the effect and do your best to understand and face that which affected you personally and do your best to bring that into some form of harmony so that you're setting yourself free from those situations because I know for me at first when I first started this I could relate my life story over and over and all the people that were to blame were amazing everyone was to blame everyone was oh how did you put up with that how did you put up oh my goodness and actually fine it's not that that wasn't true but also if you really had a look what pressure was everyone under what was the good bit there but you can't see that for woe is me and then after a while you think I'm going to have a look at all of this sort it out so we have the power to free ourselves and to free others that were involved with us we can't stop them being who they are if they're not choosing to do something but the way I see them my attitudes can dramatically change yeah what we talked about this morning was it is our emotions that cause the problem and if we could get a handle on our emotions we'd be able to just pass by a lot of this stuff so whenever they if we could start to practice and med it's why meditation is important practice the power of silence when we practice the power of silence our original nature even for two seconds it's there and there is nothing happening in the power of silence there is no likes dislikes challenges facing nothing it's the power of silence and that power of silence is the power of god god is the ocean of silence so I maybe not thinking of god but I'm thinking of the energy that also is the energy of god and I'm capable of that silence and that silence helps to take me past takes the edge of the emotion so when I come away from the power of silence and the problem might still be there because I might only have had the power of silence for two seconds but I won't be so agitated to get into it I'll be more ready to go and move on so this power of silence is invaluable it's like a magic energy well I've known a lot of people that I had a lot of resentment for and that I would have said were horrible people but I don't even think of them now because you see we get stuck on our own pain but what I did was have a look at where they were coming from and I saw things that I hadn't understood that they were having a hard time that they didn't were doing everything they could according to their energy and capacity and they themselves were not exactly treated well by the world they were working really hard to try and keep their life together and they didn't know about patience or kindness or sweetness they were too busy having a hard time and so they weren't going to turn around and look at me and go don't you what a wee shame you're getting upset here and the natural fact that as far as they were concerned they were being as best they could so when I looked at that I thought wow and it comes in all various shapes and forms but it depends what you mean by a hard time I mean we have the capacity to move move away we have the capacity to say something if we think it's worth saying and we have the capacity to forgive and I have to forgive myself for the bad wishes I would have for that person who wasn't behaving good I would have had dreadful wishes for them and so that wasn't exactly making me like the hero we ourselves know all the details about what we're saying other people just have to give a take on it but I would say it's a process meditation and it's not that you're suppressing you're just not going into that which is upsetting you just going into silence instead the situation's still there and it possibly will visit you over and over and every time it comes if you go into silence you're taking the froth off it if you like you're taking the top off it and at some time at some point you will maybe see more clearly the entire picture but it takes time you're not going to go silence oh no and then when you see the entire picture sometimes you can feel ashamed like I'm talking about this situation where someone worked their fingers to the bone and they were so exhausted they were not very pleasant and made life hard for everyone around but there was never any cruelty or badness there they were just exhausted and they were not given a high profile in the community and and they used everybody that came in connection with them as a slave in a way because they hadn't the energy to do all the work that was needed to keep the the thing afloat and when I saw that and I saw actually the goodness in the heart of who I had thought was a big Wicked Witch of the West it took time for me for that to pop up again and for me to just look at it and think oh for goodness sake now because I practice spirituality that person has left their body have died as you might put it or passed a long time ago but what I was able to do is because they would have we believe in rebirth they'll still be here and they will have taken all that stuff with them those characteristics so just sending good wishes good wishes and thank you and thank you for doing the best you could with every nerve in your body you did the best you could but you were human you didn't have the energy to be pleasant as well they were never violently wicked or cruel but just oh they made everybody be as kind as big a drudge as they were if you like I say it takes time and the taking the top of it is silence silence silence silence silence silence silence is your original nature and it means your emotions get calmed and it definitely works no matter what's going on what you feel you can't face what you feel is like what can I do here I mean I've been doing this for years and years and years and years and years but I don't know what's coming around the corner tomorrow or today I don't know what's guys new it's like where did that come from but it came and so I find that even if it's a don't I think a really daunting situation I it's not going to leave me alone just because I've been doing this a lot of the back stuff will have been settled but here's new stuff coming and I find that I just give myself a few minutes of silence which gives me a chance to pause and not go rushing in with any thoughts that will disrupt the whole process and it goes away but it'll come back and come back until I get it sorted out and straightened and I'm able to keep myself okay and keep going in the process because life is life is life and life is there in your face every day and it's a different part of things every day things you never even dreamt of are there every day you think where were you what happened hiding around the corner here you come and it's so it's going to catch you off guard you can't be saying here I am I'm ready I'm ready you don't know what we're ready for the power to face what am I going to face it hasn't come at the moment I'm cruising along quite merrily quite merrily and then silence don't get caught up in your emotion just give silence a chance for a few seconds to resonate and then you'll think about it later okay so just again sitting comfortably and we'll just have a minute of silence to finish and you can rest your eyes on the center of the forehead and have the awareness I am the soul looking out through the eyes and I'm seen another soul Om Shanti means I am a peaceful soul I allow the world with all its complexities roles and relationships to slip away from my mind by filling my consciousness with thoughts of my own inner self I am peaceful
