In your heart, you imagine yourself at the park, sitting on your favorite rock by the water. You make sure your eyes face the sun and tune into its color and mood. In this peaceful moment, your heart opens to hear a special message in this place of light.

Sunset Meditation.

Come into a seated position.

Press both feet into the ground.

Lengthen your spine and drop your shoulders.

Relax your head and neck and jaw.

Place both hands on your lap.

Palms face up.

Close your eyes.

Bring your attention to your breath.

Inhale and fill your whole self with light.

Exhale and release negativity.

Breathe in and breathe out.

Breathe into your whole self and breathe out.

Allow your light to expand in all directions.

You are light.

You are comfortable and relaxed.

Move your attention to your body.

Inhale and fill your body with light.

Exhale and release tension.

Inhale and exhale.

Breathe into the body and breathe out.

Allow your light to expand in all directions.

You are light.

You are relaxed and comfortable.

Bring your awareness to your heart.

Inhale and fill your heart with light.

Exhale and release any shadows.

Breathe in and breathe out.

Breathe in and breathe out.

Allow the light in your heart to shine in all directions.

You are the light.

You are comfortable and relaxed.

Drop into your breath.

Drop into your body.

Drop into your heart.

You are connected with breath,

Body and heart.

You are the light.

You are comfortable and relaxed.

At the end of the day,

You look forward to the time when you step out of stress and noise and step into your heart.

In your heart,

You imagine yourself at the park sitting on your favorite rock by the water.

You make sure your eyes face the sun as you tune into its color and mood.

For a few moments,

You close your eyes and allow your body to feel the breeze land on your skin.

Your ears pick up on the rhythm of the water.

Your nose sniffs around for the smell of fresh and earthy water.

Once your senses engage and connect with its extraordinary surroundings,

It's time to settle in and witness the precious ending of this day through the eyes of the sun.

Time slows down as you sit in the presence of this luminous ball of energy.

You marvel at how the sun emerges each day to light up the earth and then lowers its heavy body down into the horizon until morning.

You marvel at the sun's power and its ability to shine through the clouds and show up after raging storms.

You marvel at how the sun symbolizes life force energy that enables all things to thrive and grow.

You marvel at how the sun's bright presence brings positivity and clarity into the world.

As you gaze at the sun sinking into the horizon,

You notice its flourishing transition of colors,

Red,

Orange,

And yellow.

The sun's mighty glow ripples into everything it touches.

The sky,

Clouds,

Water,

And even your mind.

Today,

You are mesmerized by a blue sky that turns from a playful pink into a peaceful purple.

The unfolding mystery of the sunset calms and relaxes your body,

Your breath,

And your heart.

You feel so in tune with the magical sun and its endless ways of radiating light.

In this blissful moment,

You place your hands on your heart and listen to its message.

I am grateful.

I am grateful for my light.

I am grateful for the sun that shines in my mind.

I am grateful for the sun that shines in my body.

I am grateful for the sun that shines in my breath.

I am grateful for the sun that shines in my heart.

I am grateful for the sun that shines in my world.

I am grateful for the sun that shines peace,

Love,

And joy upon all living beings.

May the sun shine on everyone,

Everything,

Everywhere.

Good night,

Beloved sun,

And thank you.

You are so grateful for your moment with the sun.

Your body feels lighter.

Your breath feels lighter.

Your heart feels lighter.

Thanks to your friend,

The sunset,

You have a deeper understanding of how you inspired the world with your light.

You offer gratitude to the sunset as you slowly rise up and walk out of the park and into the arrival of twilight.

With a spirit of gratitude,

You sense it is time to return to this space.

Come into your body and slowly wiggle toes and feet,

Fingers and hands.

Come into the body.

Return to your breath.

Inhale and fill this space with your light.

Exhale and let it go.

Trust and believe that light flows through you while you remain calm and relaxed.

Open your eyes and let the world see your radiant self.
