Caring meditation.
Let us welcome the energy of caring by closing our eyes.
From a seated position,
Press both feet into the ground.
Lengthen your spine.
Drop your shoulders.
Relax your neck.
Rest your hands on your lap.
Palms face up.
Stay here in the body.
And relax.
Step into your breath.
Inhale into the body.
Exhale and release.
Inhale into the body.
Exhale and release.
Inhale deeply.
Exhale completely.
Completely.
Stay here.
Stay in your breath.
Focus on your mind.
Open the door to your mind.
And see the word caring in this space.
With your inhale and exhale,
Fill your mind with the energy of caring.
Allow caring to flow through your body,
Flow through your breath,
And flow through your mind.
Imagine you're at a barn located miles away from other homes and people.
Aside from chickens and cows and other farm animals,
You notice a separate barn for horses.
Instinctively,
You wander over to the horse barn for a visit.
Inside the barn,
You look around and nod to its six residents tucked away in separate stalls with their names written on the front of each one.
You are in awe of these gentle,
Yet majestic and strong animals.
Their presence makes you feel peaceful.
You notice the name of one horse in particular.
Its name is Caring.
Sable in color,
You are drawn to its soft mane,
Lean muscles,
And good-natured disposition.
Caring,
The horse,
Moves to the front of its stall to take a closer look at you.
In moments,
You both exchange so much tenderness through the eyes.
Moments pass,
And it feels as if its heart trotted its way into your heart.
Caring,
The horse,
Leans its head towards you,
And you reach out to touch its forehead and face.
The more time you spend with Caring,
The deeper you two connect at the heart.
The horse's saddle is on a hook behind you.
Is it time to go for a ride?
You look outside and notice the sun starting to set.
Yes,
It is the perfect time to ride with your new friend.
Caring,
The horse,
Slowly exits the stall and waits for you to saddle her up.
You two head onto a trail to watch the sun go down.
Your attentive horse knows exactly where to go,
And within minutes,
You are on the top of a hill,
Witnessing a sky changing from blue to brilliant pink,
Orange,
And purple.
You slowly lose your sense of time in this serene place until the full moon rises and nudges you back to your surroundings.
On your ride back from the hill,
You reflect on the name of the horse,
Caring.
What does it mean to care?
Throughout your life,
You wonder if anyone truly cared for you.
You wonder if you truly cared for another.
You wonder if you truly care for yourself.
You wonder if the world is a caring place at all.
In this peaceful moment with your thoughts,
You feel the horse has the answers to your questions.
Here's what you hear in the heart.
My new friend,
Your heart is the gateway to caring for yourself,
Others,
And the world.
When you care,
You share peace,
Love,
And joy.
When you care,
You create room for appreciation,
Connection,
And compassion.
When you care,
You inspire tenderness,
Comfort,
And harmony.
When you care for yourself,
You care for others,
And you care for the world.
Upon listening to this kind-hearted,
Four-legged companion,
And gather insights about what it means to care,
You watch the horse gently guide you back to the barn.
You are ready to embrace the world with a caring heart.
You dismount the gentle horse and wrap your arms around its head.
Caring the horse nozzles your cheek and lets you know you are loved.
You release your arms and look into its brown eyes.
One last time,
You exchange heartfelt love and caring for each other.
You walk away from the horse with a full and tender heart,
And knowing that you are cared for by this horse,
And that you care for it too.
You sense how caring for you,
For others,
And for the world,
Generates peace,
Love,
And joy.
Slowly,
Come back into your body by moving feet and toes,
Hands and fingers.
Circle your neck in one direction,
And circle your neck in the other direction.
Come back into the body.
Believe and trust the energy of caring flows through you while you remain calm and relaxed.
As you return to the world,
Believe you are connected to many caring hearts.
In this way,
Let us reunite and bring the power of caring we know and recognize to be true.
Open your eyes.
Namaste.
