Meditation.

Sleepy body,

Calm mind.

This meditation is done lying down.

So bring yourself onto a bed or on the floor.

Lie completely flat onto the ground beneath you.

Allow your spine to press into the ground.

Palms can rest on your sides or you can place them on your heart.

Close your eyes and come into your breath.

Inhale into the body.

Exhale and release.

Inhale fully and exhale completely.

Inhale and exhale.

It is time to rest the body.

It is time to relax the body.

It is time to sleep.

Bring your attention to your feet and toes.

Allow feet and toes to relax.

Allow feet and toes to rest.

Allow your feet and toes to sleep.

Move your awareness to your knees.

Breathe into the knees and breathe out.

Relax your knees.

Rest your knees.

Allow your knees to sleep.

Focus on your hips.

Breathe into your hips.

Breathe out.

Relax your hips.

Relax your hips.

Allow your hips to sleep.

Focus on your solar plexus or lower rib cage.

Breathe into the solar plexus,

Lower rib cage.

Breathe out.

Relax your solar plexus.

Rest your solar plexus.

Allow your solar plexus to sleep.

Bring your awareness to your heart.

Breathe into your heart.

And breathe out.

Relax your heart.

Rest in your heart.

Allow your heart to sleep.

Move into the throat and breathe into your throat.

And breathe out.

Relax your throat.

Rest your throat.

Allow your throat to sleep.

Bring your awareness to your mind.

Breathe into your mind.

And breathe out.

Relax your mind.

Rest your mind.

Allow sleep to come into the mind.

Come to the top of your head.

Breathe into the top of your head.

And breathe out.

Rest the top of your head.

Relax the top of your head.

Allow the top of your head to sleep.

Now bring your awareness to your whole body.

Inhale into the body.

Exhale and relax.

Relax your body.

Rest your body.

Allow sleep to come into the body.

As you relax more and more deeply,

Allow these messages to move into the body,

The heart,

And the mind.

I am grateful for my healthy body.

I am grateful for my healthy mind.

I am grateful for my healthy spirit.

I am grateful for the blessing of being here and now.
