This is just one minute on Let Go.
There's a teaching from an Asian teacher named Ajahn Chah who says,
If you let go a little,
You'll have a little happiness.
If you let go a lot,
You'll have a lot of happiness.
And if you let go completely,
You'll be completely happy.
So to explore the benefits of this practice of letting go,
Pick some views or beliefs or opinions that maybe you've been holding onto tightly,
And see if you can let go of them.
Another thing to focus on are grievances or grudges with other people or resentments.
Are there things you've been carrying around like a stone that burns you even as you cast it at others?
Can you let go there as well?
Also,
Can you let go of pushing or prodding or forcing other people to be a certain way,
Including in the way they think about things or the way they regard you?
Last,
Can you let go of the present moment as soon as it arises in the remarkable eternity of the now that is endlessly renewed even as it disappears between your feet?
In all of these ways,
May you let go.
