Hello and welcome to this guided meditation.
I'm Richard Willis and my voice will guide you in a starlight meditation where you can relax in a peaceful night sky scene and use the power of guided imagery to escape into a sense of soothing calm.
So make yourself comfy and just simply allow my voice to go with you as your mind is gently guided through this meditation.
First close your eyes and just relax the body.
Let all the muscles soften,
The body settling comfortably into the surface underneath like it were melting into it.
Give yourself permission to let go and relax and as the body relaxes the breathing naturally falls into a calm rhythm in and out like waves washing you towards a sense of tranquility,
Towards a peaceful scene in your mind's eye,
A vast night sky.
As you gaze at it you see the magnificent contrast of the deep black of the universe stretched out before you,
Sprinkled with the shimmering light of the stars,
Constellations of twinkling diamonds so bright like pinholes in the curtain of night shrouding a heavenly light allowed to escape through the countless stars.
Gaze at the night sky,
At the patterns of starlight,
Allowing yourself to wander at the distances to these celestial masterpieces,
At your place among the cosmos.
Take a few moments now to relax and enjoy the starry night.
