Hello and welcome to this guided meditation.
I'm Richard Willis and my voice will guide you in this confidence meditation,
A chance to program your mind for those key moments where you need to stretch yourself and send a message of confidence and reassurance to yourself.
So make yourself comfy and just simply allow my voice to go with you as your mind is gently guided through this meditation.
First close your eyes and begin with a deep breath in and a long breath out.
Then let your breathing settle into its own natural rhythm and allow your muscles to soften,
Body relaxing and mind relaxing.
Now think of a situation where you may lack confidence.
Find a time in the past where you tackled something similar,
Even if it was on a smaller scale.
Find a moment you were a bit scared but did it anyway.
Find some evidence of confidence.
That doesn't mean you had no fear.
It means you felt it and still did it.
Think of that moment now.
Picture it and notice the feeling.
Some fear mingled with energy and courage.
A feeling of stepping forward and the inner satisfaction of achievement when you did it.
Now think of your current challenge.
If it feels overwhelming,
Break it down into the first step.
So there is still some fear but also the energy,
The feeling of stepping forward.
Recognize this feeling from your past,
Your past achievement.
Now take a few moments to imagine yourself taking that first step forward in your challenge.
See it as though it were happening right now.
Hear it,
Feel it,
Live it,
Stepping forward.
See the success that your confidence has brought you.
Notice the positive feelings that arise.
Well done.
Now open your eyes,
Gently bringing your awareness fully back into your surroundings,
Into the present moment.
Remembering that feeling of stepping forward and the confidence and success that using it brings.
