Hello and welcome to this guided meditation.

I'm Richard Willis and my voice will guide you in this meditation to help you beat procrastination,

Encouraging your action drive to overcome your resistance drive.

First make yourself comfy and just simply allow my voice to go with you as your mind is gently guided through this meditation.

Now close your eyes,

Begin with a deep breath in and a long breath out,

Then let the breathing settle into its own natural rhythm and allow the body to relax,

Settling into the surface underneath.

Mind relaxing,

Body relaxing.

Now think about what happens when you really need to do something.

Look at what you tend to do instead.

What do you get out of that?

This is your resistance drive.

Do this without judging yourself.

Be kind and honest with yourself.

What do you like about what you do instead?

Take a moment to think about what your resistance drive is.

Now find the benefit of doing what you need to do instead.

The important thing here is to find a reason to do it that is stronger than the resistance drive.

This is your action drive.

Think about what you'll get out of actually doing it.

Imagine how you will feel,

The benefits of completing it,

The momentum it will give you,

The self-belief,

The positive message you will tell yourself afterwards,

The messages about the type of person you are,

How it will affect your life and maybe others around you,

Either directly or from the example you'll set when you find your reason,

Your action drive.

It will normally come with the energy of a positive emotion.

So find the emotion in your action drive.

Look for the power of the feeling.

That is what will make your resistance drive get overpowered by your action drive.

Take a few moments now to find your action drive and find the emotion within it.

Well done.

Now open your eyes,

Bringing your mind back into the present moment and taking in your surroundings and whatever action drive you found.

This will provide you with a starting point.

Feel free to explore this further,

Always remembering to find the power of the emotion in your reason for doing it,

To find the feeling in it.
