Hello and welcome to this guided meditation,

I'm Richard Willis and my voice will guide you in this parent meditation,

Where parenting responsibilities can be parked for a moment to relax and rejuvenate,

A chance to realize that a little moment's peace can make a big difference to you and others around you.

So make yourself comfy,

And just simply allow my voice to go with you as your mind is gently guided through this meditation.

First,

Close your eyes and start by giving yourself full permission to take a moment for you,

The others that depend on you will benefit from you being relaxed and centered.

Just let the body settle,

Allow your muscles to soften,

To relax,

And center yourself on your breath at the chest,

The sensation of rising and falling,

Its rhythm,

And as you watch the movement of the chest,

Notice the body slowing,

Settling,

Relaxing.

With each inhale,

Relish the oxygen being brought in to refresh you,

Nourish you,

And with each exhale,

Softening the body further,

Muscles relaxing,

And as you continue to hold the movement of the chest in your awareness,

Picture a pleasant glow of energy in the center of your chest,

An energy full of kindness and patience.

With each exhale,

Imagine that glow growing like a ball,

Larger and larger,

And everything within that sphere of energy is within the influence of your kindness,

Growing stronger and stronger,

Feeling so calm now,

And so understanding,

Just resting in your sphere of kindness,

You can now expand this sphere to encompass anyone in your life,

Anyone you would like to connect to in a compassionate way,

Maybe a child,

A partner,

A friend,

Anyone.

Spend a few moments now embracing that person or people with your sphere of kindness,

Unconditional and patient kindness.

Well done,

Now open your eyes and come fully back into your surroundings,

Into the present moment,

Bringing with you the relaxation,

Kindness,

And patience into the rest of your day.
