Hello and welcome to this guided meditation.

I'm Richard Willis and my voice will guide you in this meditation for life design.

A starting point to help you make decisions on the next steps of your life and generate some positivity and clarity.

This meditation is designed as a series of flowing questions for you to reflect on.

Questions that cover the different steps you can take to design your life.

You may find it useful to have something to write down any ideas you have ready for the end of the meditation.

So make yourself comfy and just simply allow my voice to go with you as your mind is gently guided through this meditation.

First close your eyes and begin with a deep breath in and a long breath out.

Let your breathing then settle into a natural rhythm and let your body settle with it.

Let the muscles soften,

Body relaxing and mind relaxing.

Now first of all turn your attention to your life values.

Your guiding light of what is important to you.

Is it security?

Family?

Career?

Adventure?

You may have several values come up.

So rank them.

Which ones are most important to you?

Take a few moments to reflect.

Now think about what kind of person you want to be.

The kind of person that aligns with those values.

Become that person now.

How would you describe yourself?

How would others describe you?

How do you behave?

How do you feel?

How do you speak?

How do you stand and walk?

How do you think?

What is your self-talk like in your mind?

What messages do you tell yourself every day to empower yourself?

Take a few moments to reflect on the most important answers you've just come up with.

Now think about what skills you have.

What skills do others admire in you?

What knowledge do you have?

What knowledge are you drawn to learning?

What learning captivates you?

Now keeping in mind your values and skills,

What sort of tasks are you doing in your dream life?

Working with things or people?

Creating?

Fixing?

Investigating?

Communicating?

Teaching?

Helping?

What are you doing?

Take a few moments to use your feelings as a guide.

Now where do you see yourself doing those things?

Home?

Office?

Another workplace?

Travelling?

What is the structure of your day like?

Your morning?

Your afternoon?

Your evening?

Check in to feel the sense of purpose in your day.

Now consider the practical aspects of this life.

How long would it take to get here?

What resources would you need?

What help?

What level of effort?

Take some time to reflect on the next steps.

Well done.

Bearing in mind that people can be disappointed by what they achieve in one year and amazed by what they can achieve in several years,

Fix those next steps in your mind.

And now,

Open your eyes,

Gently bringing your awareness fully back into your surroundings,

Into the present moment.

Bringing with you any useful insights from this meditation to design your life ahead.
