So nervous system regulation.

Sometimes we can think there's something wrong with us.

Because the way our nervous system is responding is not normal.

Aligned,

It's not congruent with the present moment,

Right?

So we can think there's something wrong with us when really there isn't.

It's actually.

.

.

Our nervous system believing that there's an actual threat.

So we can become anxious,

We can.

.

.

Go the other way,

Instead of more of a high energy,

It can be low energy where we shut down.

And disconnect.

And then we can judge ourselves.

Now what I mean by that is the mind will judge anything and everything.

Other people,

The external world,

And ourselves.

It's supposed to do that through the lens of things.

This is a problem.

Let me find a problem,

Right?

So the mind will judge us for shutting down.

For disconnecting.

For overreacting.

This is part of the human condition.

We can't escape that,

But we can recognize that this is what my mind is saying.

Can I come back to myself?

So.

.

.

Many of these responses.

Like I've,

Like I've mentioned their survival.

Patterns,

They're things the nervous system has recorded in certain parts of the brain.

Of your history,

Right,

That come back to the present.

We can see them like personal failures,

But they're not.

When we begin to understand that the nervous system is a part of us.

When we can see it and witness it doing what it's doing.

From a place of.

.

.

Warmth,

From a place of nurturing,

From a place of compassion,

We can stop the fight that continues the battle.

Fighting our nervous systems.

Being anxious about being anxious,

Right?

So our nervous system is not the enemy.

It's simply.

.

.

Carrying too much in this present moment.

It thinks it's back in the past from the association that it's made in the present.

And the more we can gently work with this.

The more we can heal.

And I do want to say that it can sound this can sound like oh yeah that's that's all well and good and I get it it's really hard so what we need to do is to work with some of those times when the nervous system is not too activated,

It's just subtly activated,

Where we can notice it,

Where we can see it doing what it's doing,

And be there for ourselves in a way where we pause and recognize,

Okay,

My nervous system is trying to protect me,

But right here and now,

I am safe.

Right here and now,

I deserve meaningful connection.

Because when the nervous system is activated,

We're in protection mode.

And when we're in protection mode,

We cannot experience moments of meaningful connection.

So when we're in protection mode,

We can't experience connection,

Connection mode.

It's obviously on a spectrum.

It's not like an either one or the other,

But I hope this can help you.

Coupling this these insights and this with a particular nervous system reset track that you can that you can work with and like practice,

Should I say.

More frequently is really going to help you.

It's not.

Trying to think our way out of this.

It's taking care of our bodies,

Soothing the nervous system and being with whatever feelings we've got in a way where we've really.

We're really holding ourselves lightly.

We're holding ourselves in a nurturing way.

And that's what this is about.

I've got some nervous system.

I've got a playlist at my profile for nervous system reset.

You can type in Ruben nervous system.

You'll see the playlist come up.

That is at my profile.

And there's some other stuff in my folders as well.

At the top of my profile,

You'll see folders and you can look for some stuff that's associated with this.

And when you find it,

Use it.

Commit to it.

And see what happens.

See what happens.

You have an amazing capacity.

To change the way you relate to yourself,

To grow in a particular way,

Where you tell your body actually I'm feeling a lot more safer now.

I can be in connection mode now.

I don't need to be in protection mode as much.

I know you have that capacity.

I've worked with thousands of people.

In a lot of situations.

Um,

Inside and outside of the clinic.

Very,

Very possible.

It's very,

Very possible.

So I hope that helps.

See you again soon.

Cheers.
