Details

Imagine arriving on Friday evening with the pace of your week still lingering in your body. The constant responsibilities, mental load, planning, caregiving, and pressure to keep going finally begin to soften as you step into a peaceful mountain setting designed for rest. In this moment, there is nothing you need to do and nowhere you need to be. Recharge & Restore is a gentle women’s retreat created for those craving space to breathe, reconnect with themselves, and experience deep restoration without pressure or performance. Throughout the weekend, you’ll be guided through beginner-friendly yoga nidra, meditation, restorative movement, journaling, and quiet reflection practices designed to support nervous system regulation, relaxation, and emotional renewal. This retreat is especially supportive for women who: • feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or burned out • struggle to fully rest without guilt • spend much of their lives caring for others • feel disconnected from themselves beneath the responsibilities of everyday life • are curious about meditation or retreats but worry they’re not “experienced enough” There is nothing you need to prove here. You are invited to participate in ways that feel supportive to you. Whether that means joining every activity, spending quiet time walking the trails, sipping tea in silence, journaling, resting in your room, or gently connecting with other women with a warm mug in your hands. Held at the peaceful Himalayan Institute in the Pocono Mountains, this weekend offers access to wooded hiking trails, waterfalls, quiet reflection spaces, nourishing vegetarian meals, the tea lounge, and the beautiful Sri Vidya Shrine. As the weekend unfolds, many women begin noticing subtle but meaningful shifts: slower breathing, softer shoulders, clearer thoughts, deeper rest, and a renewed connection with themselves. You do not need prior retreat, yoga, or meditation experience to attend. Just a willingness to arrive exactly as you are. This experience isn’t about escaping your life; it’s about returning to it differently. A little more rested. A little more grounded. A little more connected to yourself beneath the noise of everyday life.

Throughout the retreat, you’ll enjoy nourishing vegetarian meals thoughtfully prepared by the Himalayan Institute kitchen team. One of the most restorative parts of retreat life is allowing yourself to simply arrive and be cared for, without needing to plan, cook, clean, or make decisions about what’s for dinner. Meals are designed to support a relaxing retreat experience and include a variety of grains, legumes, vegetables, soups, salads, fresh fruit, homemade breads, and comforting dishes served buffet style. Breakfast typically includes hot cereals, fruit, yogurt, and tea or coffee. Lunch is the main meal of the day and often includes rice, lentil dishes, vegetables, soups, salads, and homemade breads. Dinner is generally lighter, with soups, fresh salads, and simple nourishing options. Guests will also have access to the campus Tea Lounge and Himalayan Café, which offer tea, coffee, chai, and light treats throughout the weekend. Many meals include gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options, though the kitchen may not be able to accommodate all dietary restrictions. Guests with severe allergies are welcome to bring supplemental food items if needed.

Schedule

The retreat schedule is intentionally spacious and supportive, offering a gentle balance of guided practices, rest, reflection, nature, and free time. Evenings are designed to help you deeply unwind through calming candlelit practices, relaxation, and community connection in a warm and welcoming environment.
