Welcome to this breathing space practice.
This practice is for you,
For any moment,
For wherever you are,
Whatever you are doing,
To find presence,
To flourish,
To change your day.
Acknowledging too that change may silently echo throughout all your next moments.
Allow your breath to naturally flow through you,
Feeling your breath rooted deeply within you.
You are a body breathed,
Feeling into the landscape that is you,
Noticing how you are right now.
Becoming aware of thought activity in the mind,
Allowing scenes from your inner hinterland to start to show themselves.
Noticing emotion,
Mood or temperament present just now.
Noticing whether there are physical sensations surfacing anywhere in your body.
We are a thousand mirrors in constant motion,
Ceaselessly reflecting thoughts,
Emotions,
Sensations.
Repeated patterns of reflection that have worn grooves in space,
Time and mind.
Allow space for it all.
Change nothing,
Allow everything to change.
All the while you breathe.
Feeling time behaving a little differently now too,
Subtly,
As it thickens,
Pools,
Flows,
Eddies,
Rushes,
Pauses and slows within you now.
Gently pivot your awareness towards your breathing.
How does the feeling of your breath surface from the body and reveal itself to you?
Noticing detailed sensations come and go with this breath,
Effortlessly,
With each breath that follows too.
Sensations at the nostrils,
Belly,
Ribcage,
Vibrations of expansion and contraction.
All arising from awareness,
All falling back into awareness.
Allowing awareness now to fall open wider and wider still.
Turning from the breath,
Becoming aware of the volume of your weighted body,
The edges of your form enveloped in skin.
All held here within the field of gravity.
All the while allowing your body to be just as it is.
Opening more and more to any activity in your mind,
With a sense of graciousness,
Allowing it to be just as it is.
Becoming aware of the space beyond your body,
Warmth or coolness,
Sounds near and far,
Stillness even.
The ancient solidity of the earth and ground beneath your body,
Is your sky high above you.
Reflect that beyond this untouchable boundary of Baloo,
Our difficulties,
Our experiences,
Our lives,
All fall into the unknowable vastness of infinity and eternity.
If your eyes have been closed,
Opening the eyes and becoming aware of your view without seeing more than there is.
Gradually opening and unfurling your experience,
Opening your awareness like a flower to greet the day,
With a sense of allowing it all to be just as it is.
Recognising what resonates and resounds within us,
May seem remotely distant from others.
Yet we are all tangled together by deep echoes that surface from within each and every one of us.
Sensing now the deep roots of your own inner world,
And reflect how for every beating heart,
Like silent roots flowing to become high branches turned towards the light,
Our inner world flourishes outwards and skywards.
Choose this inner world wisely.
Breathe.
Breathe.
And breathe again.
Grounded,
Rooted skywards.
From here,
Gracefully move into your next moment,
Mindfully aware.
