Welcome to this guided meditation designed to help you release control,

Alleviate anxiety and develop a deeper sense of flow and trust in your life.

We often go through our day without realizing how much anxiety we are holding on to,

Hiding under the need to make things happen.

And because of this,

We make decisions based on fear,

We rush,

We overproduce,

We put pressure on ourselves.

These actions often create a cycle of stress and tension,

Preventing us from fully experiencing the natural flow of life.

Begin by finding a comfortable and quiet place to sit or lie down.

Close your eyes gently and take a deep breath in.

Allow your chest to expand fully and exhale slowly.

Place your hands over your heart center and spend some time connecting with yourself.

Turn your focus inward.

Notice the sensations in your body,

The rhythm of your breath and any emotions that may be present.

Allow these feelings to surface without judgment.

And now allow yourself to float back and connect with an area of your life where you're placing excessive pressure on yourself,

Someone or a situation.

Perhaps it's in your relationships,

A hard desire you want to birth or a decision.

Notice any feelings that arise,

Anxiety,

Stress that push for that particular outcome or the constant projections into the future and bring these feelings to your conscious awareness.

Where do you feel this tension in your body?

If you had complete trust here,

What could be different in this situation?

Now let your imagination take you to the bank of a flowing river.

Picture yourself standing there,

A silent observer of the water's ebb and flow.

The water around you mirrors the landscape of your emotional world in regards to this situation.

First,

I invite you to take in the nature surrounding the river,

Perhaps the lush greenery,

Any sounds or any rock formations you may see.

Notice the color of the water,

Whether it's clear or murky.

Observe the speed of the river,

Whether it is calm,

Flowing gently or whether it rushes through rocks and strong currents.

Can you see any obstacles in its flow?

As you stand there,

Sense the energy of the earth beneath your feet.

Imagine roots growing from the sole of your feet,

Anchoring you to the ground.

These roots spread wide and deep into the earth until they reach the very core of Mother Earth.

Here you feel held.

You feel supported.

She's got you.

She invites you to draw some of her energy so you can find the strength to navigate the challenges of this situation.

Drawing this energy up through your roots to your first energy center at the base of your spine,

Visualizing a vibrant red light to replenish this first center.

Feel the stability and support that the earth provides,

Strengthened by this new energy in your mind's eye.

Visualize now a type of watercraft waiting for you at the water's edge.

It can be a boat,

A canoe or any other type of vessel.

This vessel symbolizes your willingness and capacity to confront your fears and challenges.

Spend some time to notice its shape,

Its color.

What is it made of?

Does it feel sturdy?

You are now being called to start your journey on this river,

Inviting more trust into your life.

Initially,

You may feel a bit unsettled,

Out of control,

And so you may try to grasp onto familiar surroundings or cling on to the sides.

As to be shown,

How much energy is spent on holding on,

Clinging on to,

Gripping and not able to let go.

What are you really holding on to?

What are you afraid of?

We often prefer to feel that we are in command of our lives and surroundings as it provides a sense of security and predictability.

And when we feel things are changing,

Crumbling apart,

And we feel in a place of uncertainty,

We try to hold on to the things we knew or we try to force outcomes to avoid any discomfort.

This can lead in us overworking to compensate or trying to control others around us.

We forget that maybe this is meant to happen this way.

We forget that maybe there is a higher power at play and that perhaps there are lessons that we need to grasp on the way.

We forget that these events often are happening for us,

Not to us.

The truth is,

We never fully have control over anything or anyone.

Life is a river,

Constantly flowing,

And our attempts to control it are like trying to grasp water in our bare hands.

Control is like flowing against a current or attempting to traverse from one riverbank to the other.

It is resisting life.

How much energy does it take to fight against the current?

Now imagine the release that would come with turning and allowing the current to guide you.

What if you could just flow,

Let go and surrender?

In these moments of doubt,

Anxiety or uncertainty,

You are asked to remember that you have the power to choose trust over fear,

Calmness over anxiety.

You can decide to let go and flow.

Surrender all.

Trust that you will have the resources you need to face any challenges.

Trust that help is available.

Trust that something new will emerge from this.

Trust in a higher plan.

Find this strength within your heart.

Connect to it.

Feel it grow.

You are safe.

You are protected.

You are guided.

And now,

It is your turn to let go.

You are a being of flow,

Of movement,

Of change.

Surrender now to the flow of water around you.

Where is it taking you?

Allow it to take you.

You are always being taken somewhere.

Trust your journey.

Embrace where you are at now and affirm to yourself that you are okay.

You are strong.

You are capable of navigating life's challenges with grace and resilience.

Feel the flow.

Be the flow.

This is trust.

Take a moment to acknowledge the shift in energy.

Perhaps sense how the current of the river has changed.

Maybe it is now more calm and serene.

Let yourself bathe in this energy.

And now,

It is almost time to return.

But before you journey back,

I invite you to think about ways that you can approach your challenges differently.

Things you're going to cultivate.

Take a moment to grasp the guidance here.

What am I committing to do differently from now on?

Knowing that I can choose to trust.

And now it's time to come back.

Back to your body.

Back to the present moment.

Back to the here and now.

Slowly becoming aware of your surroundings.

Bring gentle movement to your fingers and toes.

Take a deep breath in.

And as you exhale,

Open your eyes.
