This guided meditation can be useful to let go of the past. Our past is in the past, and when we learn to let go and detach from it, then we can enjoy a more meaningful life in the present. By letting go of your past, you will also learn to focus on what's important in the eternal now. It will also reduce your stress level, as well as improve your overall health and well being when practiced regularly. Headphones are recommended for an optimal experience. Do not listen while driving.

Do not listen to this recording while driving or if you are operating machinery Only listen when you can safely relax and are able to get as comfortable as possible Hi,

My name is Robert Aceves Thank you for visiting Today We're going to be practicing a mindfulness meditation on letting go I'm going to ask you to please go to a place where nobody will interrupt you for the next few minutes Get comfortable,

Either lay down or sit on a chair and let's begin Close your eyes Take a deep breath in And exhale Take another deep breath in And exhale And get really comfortable wherever you're at Feel your body And notice how you're doing today Pay attention to your body And notice if you're feeling stressed nervous anxious or just relaxed whatever feeling you have Just notice that feeling Feel your body Do you feel heavy light?

Do you feel light?

Do you feel light?

Do you feel heavy light?

Whatever you're feeling,

Just notice what you're doing,

What you're feeling right this moment You can become aware of your breath going into your body and leaving your body And the idea is just to become aware of your body,

Your feelings,

Your emotions So notice how you're feeling today What are you thinking about?

Are there any thoughts that come to mind that are constantly coming to your mind that you cannot stop?

Or are there any physical pain or things that bother you on a regular basis?

Just notice that And if there's nothing,

Then there's nothing,

And that's okay Just pay attention to how you're doing today And again,

The idea is by becoming aware of these things that we're carrying on a regular basis then we can start to let go of them in the next part of this exercise But first we need to become aware of those things So notice how you're feeling today And we're not trying to change anything We just want to become aware of what's happening right now So feel your breath Feel the temperature in the room that you're at Perhaps you can listen to some of the sounds in the area And you're going to notice how by simply focusing on your body and noticing how you're feeling your body starts to become more relaxed By simply focusing on your breath,

You can already feel your breath feeling more relaxed Feeling more relaxed Now I'm going to ask you to let go of your head Want you to relax your head and let it go By letting go of your head,

You can feel how your head becomes heavier And it feels good to just relax your head And a part of your head are your eyes,

So your eyes can also relax You can let go of your eyes and let them rest for a few minutes You can also let go of your neck And notice how you feel more relaxed Part of your neck are your shoulders,

So you can also let go of your shoulders Feel your shoulders becoming more relaxed as you let them go And as you let go of your shoulders,

You can feel how your arms become heavier And you can let go of your arms Feel your arms becoming heavier and resting on the floor or the chair or the bed Wherever you're at,

Let them go You can also let go of your chest and your back And by letting go of your chest and your back,

You can feel your entire body getting more relaxed And because you're relaxed,

You can also let go of your chest and your back And by letting go of your chest,

You can feel your entire body getting more relaxed And because your back and your chest are connected to your legs,

You can also feel how your legs become heavier as you let them go.

And your whole body just gets really heavy.

And it feels so good to just let go of everything for a few minutes.

Just let go of your body and relax your body.

And as your body relaxes more and more,

You can relax your mind.

We can let go of all the thoughts that we have in our mind and feel this beautiful sensation of peace and relaxation coming through.

By emptying your mind and letting go of all those thoughts,

All the worries,

All the problems from the past,

We can feel so much better simply by letting go.

So let go of your past.

Let's leave the past in the past.

Let go of your thoughts.

Let go of anything that's worn you right now.

Let's leave that in the past and focus on the now.

Bring your attention to the present.

Feeling your breath coming into your body and leaving your body.

And you can feel how with each inhalation you feel better.

And as you exhale,

You can feel how all the negativity is just going away.

Letting go of all those thoughts that you don't need to carry in the present anymore.

The things that affected you in the past,

You can let them go.

Any traumas or failures or even successes that you've had in the past,

Just leave them in the past.

You don't need to carry that anymore.

Whatever happened,

It already happened.

Good or bad,

It's in the past.

So leave it in the past.

Let it go and relax your body a little bit more.

And relax your mind a little bit more.

And I call this a practice because it's not something that we can do from one moment to the other.

Sometimes we need to practice over and over until we're able to relax our bodies.

Until we're able to really let go of that past and be more present,

More alive in the moment.

So I know it's not easy sometimes.

Some people can do it but not everybody is the same.

So don't worry about that.

Worry about you and go at your own pace and practice this meditation as many times as you need to in order to be able to let go.

Especially of the things from the past,

The things that have already happened.

We cannot change the past.

The past is in the past.

That I cannot help you with.

But what I can't help you with is to be more present and to bring your attention to this moment.

Feel your breath right here,

Right now.

This is the present.

So bring your attention to this moment.

Feel your body right here,

Right now.

Feel your breath coming into your body.

And leaving your body.

We call this practice following the breath.

Because our breath is the one thing that we have in this moment,

In the present,

That can allow us to be mindful.

Mindful comes from being in the moment completely.

To bring your attention to this moment.

Leaving the past in the past.

Letting go of all those bad things and wonderful things as well.

Sometimes successes can be traps.

We can feel like,

Oh yeah,

You know,

This time I did this or that.

And by keeping our attention in the past,

Sometimes we miss the present.

We miss the opportunity to create something new in the present,

In the now.

This is the present,

And in the present we can work to create anything we want to create now.

In the past we cannot create anything because it's already happened.

And even the future hasn't happened yet.

So the future is full of possibilities.

But we need to work in the now.

So continue to feel your body.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Letting go of everything.

Even your name.

I ask you to let go of your name.

The name that your parents gave you in this life.

Let it go.

You can also let go of your nationality.

Whatever nationality you have in your mind,

Let it go.

You are now a citizen of this planet,

Planet Earth.

And not even that.

You're not even a body.

You're a spiritual being that lives in a body.

So let go of the idea of being a body.

A man or a woman.

Let go of that.

Since your spirit has no sex.

So let go of all those things.

Feel your breath coming into your body.

And leaving your body.

And as you let go of all those things.

You can notice how your body feels more relaxed.

Your mind feels so much better.

You don't have to do anything right now.

Just be in this moment.

Letting go of all those things from the past that you don't need to carry with you anymore.

You can just be in this moment.

Feeling comfortable.

Relaxing.

And allowing yourself this next few minutes to just really let go of everything.

Let go of your family,

Your friends,

Your failures,

Your resentments.

Anything that's not being in this moment.

Let it go.

And relax.

Enjoy these moments.

Peace and relaxation.

Give yourself the opportunity to just be in the now,

In this moment.

Letting go of everything for the next few minutes.

And as you let go of all those things.

Letting go of everything for the next few minutes.

And as you let go of all those things.

Breathing comfortably.

Relaxing your body.

A little bit deeper.

Feeling this moment.

The joy comes from being in the present.

I'm not having to carry all that past.

All those things that perhaps at some point that were important.

But not anymore.

The present is what's important.

Because I want you to feel better.

I want you to be happier,

Healthier.

And be able to work in the present.

To create a happier,

More confident,

More successful you.

Feel the present.

Feel the temperature in the room.

Feel your breath coming into your body.

Believe in your body.

This is the present.

This is your body.

To feel the present.

Listen to the present.

Feel the bed that you're laying on or the chair.

Whatever texture you have in your hands.

Feel that right now.

Feel your legs and your feet.

And slowly open your eyes and I want you to find something in the room that you've never seen before.

Maybe a color or something that brings you to the present.

And I want you to smile and stretch your body.

Ah,

Like you just woke up from a very nice,

Very comfortable nap.

And this will be the end of the meditation today.

Remember to practice this two or three times a week for better results.

Please let me know what you think and hope to see you next time.

Thank you.
