The Beguiling Bird Meditation

I guided this meditation during one of my live events, and as per request, i have created an audio for it. I don't want to say too much about what to expect, because it will be very unique for each person.

Hope you're doing well today,

Whatever you're doing.

And I'm glad you've taken time to be with yourself.

I'm going to be guiding you through a visualization to allow you to really connect with different parts of yourself.

So get yourself really comfortable,

However that might be for you.

That might be sitting down,

It might be lying down.

Whatever is best for you right now.

Make sure you can get comfortable enough that you don't need to move once we begin.

So if it's comfortable for you,

Then please close your eyes.

And start to notice your breathing.

Where in the body can you feel the breath the most?

Not trying to change it,

Just watching it.

Like you watch the waves coming in and then going out.

Breath comes in and breath goes out.

And see if you can stay with this attention on the breath.

And if your thoughts appear,

That's okay.

Thank yourself for realizing.

And then gently come back to the breath once again.

And now start to bring your attention down towards your feet,

All the way down.

The part which is furthest from your brain.

Really sense your feet.

Give your feet your ultimate attention.

Something we often don't do right?

But often doing so allows you to really get curious and get into the body.

Rather than the thoughts.

So become aware of your left big toe.

The left big toe is alive.

Blood is flowing around it.

So give it all of that attention.

And then expand the awareness to the whole left foot.

The base,

The arch,

All the toes.

And now bring your attention to your right big foot.

Realize that it's alive.

Feel it.

And then expand your awareness to the whole right foot.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Now bring your attention to both of the feet planted in the surface that you're on.

Gravity pulling you down.

Breathing in and breathing out,

Grounding into the floor.

And now start to imagine a screen in your mind.

And you step into a scene in nature.

And you're looking down at your feet.

And then you look up and look around at all of the beauty around you.

This scene could be anywhere you choose.

It could be the beach.

You're on the sand.

It could be somewhere in a forest.

Whatever you wish.

Just imagine what the surface feels like against your feet.

And start walking.

And sense your left foot against the ground and nature.

Your right foot against the ground.

And keep noticing what the earth feels like.

And also looking around you.

Absorbing.

The place that you've gone to.

And you then look up into the sky and you see a bird dancing in the air.

Gliding from a distance.

And then you notice that the bird and you are somehow connected.

In a way that you cannot explain in words.

Watching the bird.

The bird watching you.

Go into the bird's perspective.

And imagine being the bird flying in the air.

And looking down at yourself from its perspective.

And then come back to your perspective and watch the bird.

And then notice that it starts coming closer to you.

It's gliding and the distance becomes shorter and shorter.

And eventually it comes so close.

And eventually it lands on your right shoulder.

Notice what you feel right now as this happens.

What has this created for you?

And then imagine that you feel this connection with the bird.

And you feel like it's giving you energy from your shoulder into your heart.

And expanding like liquid gold through your entire body.

It's lighting you up.

Notice how this feels.

Feel this golden light surging to every corner,

Every nerve,

Every part of your body.

And then notice how you begin to look.

At the scene that you're in.

How may you look at the scene now?

From this state of mind.

Enjoy the feeling.

Enjoy it to the maximum.

And if thoughts come up,

Then invite them in.

Let them be.

And then continue focusing on your inner light.

And then begin to notice the bird starting to move.

And it starts to move off your shoulder.

And begins to fly once again,

Slowly moving away from you.

Slowly moving off into the distance.

As it flaps its wings,

You can almost sense that it's waving you a goodbye.

And you can sense the connection that you have with it.

Even though it's moved away.

And now it's gone so far you can hardly see it.

But you're left feeling impacted by that experience.

And then you begin to turn around and start walking back where you came from.

Feeling the feet on the ground once again as you walk.

And noticing the pace of your breath in your body as you walk.

And then you start to visualize the number 3 in front of you.

And then the number 2.

And you start to become aware of your physical body.

Start to become aware of your body grounded.

And then you see a number 1.

And you start to move your fingertips.

And make gentle movements with your feet.

And become aware of your whole body in the environment that you're in.

And gently,

As soon as you're ready,

Start to peel open your eyes.

And perhaps take a stretch and reflect on the experience that you just had.

Perhaps writing down or just being with the feelings in this moment.

Just for a few more moments before continuing with your day.
