Evening Release Meditation

During this meditation, you will be guided towards releasing the day, we spend so much time firefighting and attaching to events of the day, that it causes our evenings and even sleep to be affected. Hopefully, by the end of this meditation, you will be in a relaxed state, and allow your body to get back to the state that it naturally wishes to go to, a state of "being". So I hope your evening is going well so far and perhaps this is the last thing you're doing in the evening.

Perhaps it's not.

But what I'm going to be doing is helping you to really unwind and release the day.

The thing is we collect so many things during the day.

Thoughts,

Feelings,

Tiredness and it's often hard to let that go and unwind.

And it follows us into our sleep.

So what I really want for you by the end of this meditation and I guess tomorrow is to let go of everything from the day and press the reset button.

So get yourself into a comfortable position.

This might be sat down.

It might even be lying down as the last thing you're doing in bed.

Whatever that is for you,

Just find that space that feels comfortable and start to become aware of your body.

See if you can feel the whole weight of your body as it's being pulled down by gravity.

See if you can establish a connection with the floor beneath you,

The ground,

Ultimately the earth.

And as you breathe in,

Breathe in the energy within your body.

And as you breathe out,

Release all of the tension.

Breathing in life energy.

Breathing out,

Releasing every bit of tension that you have.

And continue to follow your breath in and out for a few more moments.

And now see if you can start to extend your exhales breathing in and then see if you can slow down your breath out.

And continue for a few more breaths.

Now notice how your body's feeling now.

How your mind is feeling now.

There may be a change.

There may not be.

Either way everything is okay in this moment.

Connect to this moment.

Perhaps the day was full of many things going on.

Busyness,

Stress,

Perhaps.

But connect to yourself in this moment.

Knowing that you are safe and feeling gratitude for your life right now.

And staying with that gratitude.

Think of three things that you are grateful for.

This could be anything.

Whatever comes to mind.

And notice how you feel after thinking of those things.

Did anything change within your energy?

Even slightly.

Bring your attention to the feelings that you're having right now.

Not trying to do anything with them.

Just watching.

Just sensing.

And now bring your awareness back to your breathing.

And breathe in your life energy.

And breathe out an even deeper release.

Imagine yourself sinking even deeper into the ground.

Melting.

Releasing any remaining tension on each breath out.

And if you think you have released it all,

Try one more time to release even deeper.

Noticing anything that you're sensing in this moment.

And we're going to bring this to a close.

So if you feel comfortable,

Perhaps you can stay where you are.

Otherwise,

Start to gently move your toes and your fingertips.

And begin to take some deep breaths.

And become aware of the physical environment that you're in.

Perhaps a stretch.

And when you're ready,

Start to blink open the eyes.

And if there's any insights coming up for you right now,

Let them reveal themselves and sit with them for a few more minutes.

So you can really absorb the effect of what this time has allowed for you to feel and create.

So for now,
